Coma Ruga, Casa Marti Hotel

Simply gorgeous cuisine! It really was quite gourmet. I had come all the way from Salou to see this place, it is an excellent resort. I couldn't think of a better place to stay. We took the great grandchildren to the pool and they went missing within minutes due to all the excitement! Very excellent, simply divine. I recommend the Casa Marti Hotel to all.

We felt like a bit of a novelty - being one of a handful of English holidaymakers in the resort! Which was quite nice as most - Spanish staff and holiday makers - were very polite and helpful and seemed pleased we were there. Loved the hotel's location - 2 mins from beach and 'town'. Little to do in town though - only so much pool and mini golf a teen can do in one place. We ventured into Salou and La Pineda - both had bit more to offer - as busier resorts. But, it was in La Pineda I fell foul to an ATM fraudster!!! A trap was set on an ATM I used and on returning home discovered my VISA card had not been retained by ATM but stolen by trickster and bank account cleared out. Be warned!! However, I do not regret our week stay in Coma Ruga - a different experience - but perhaps not one for those who require the 'English experience' when holidaying in Spain.

Food very poor. No English speaking staff, very unhelpful. No children's entertainment. More of a pensioners hospice than a hotel.

Second year going to Casa Marti and would go back.

Casa Marti Hotel is designed for Spanish holiday makers, so it was nice to mix with the locals. We did not see many English bars thank goodness. A nice quite place to spend our holiday. We hired a car and had good access to the motorway and coastal road, plenty of great places to visit. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and spoke better English than my Spanish.

I went the Casa Marti with the school. There were chips and sausages every night, the rooms were not remotely special in any way. You can get into next door's room through a window in the bathroom. One side of the hotel looks over the sea, but the other looks over lots of buildings and you can climb into other rooms on the roof. The staff kept out of our way so I can't really comment on them. It's in a small village with not many attractions. Barcelona is about 45 mins away (expreienced on a coach!) and roughly the same for Port Aventura.

The Casa Marti Hotel itself is not too bad. The food was very disappointing and unappetizing. Had a nice pool which is over the road from the hotel itself. It is in the middle of no where. It is a Spanish resort for the Spanish when they are on holiday. The holiday was boring especially with a lad of 10 who had nothing to do as there was nothing too do. We travelled with Airtours who didn't care less about their guests but just about the money. We travelled on the Wednesday and flew home on the Saturday which cost us 500. I paid 2000 pounds for a three day holiday, and you know what, Airtours didn't give me a penny back.

WE had a wonderful holiday at Casa Marti Hotel with 45 students.

The food and accomodation were both good. Perhaps it would be an idea to keep school parties away from paying guests. Kids are always noisy and excitable no matter how hard you discipline them. We were up all night every night... not necessarily ours but other schools as well. We would love to come back again... as would our pupils

Casa Marti Hotel is designed for spansish holiday makers. No consideration for the British paying good money to have a good family holiday. Poor is too good a word for it.
