"The Shattered Stone" by Rosemary Laurey. After her parents died from the Grey Plague and she was proven free of the disease, Alys leaves the village of Wenmere rather than be a drudge in the warden's parish house. On the road she meets Lord Renald ven Strad, the monarch's enemy, who is undertaking a quest to find the king's nephew with whom he quarreled many years ago. Renald takes Alys under his protection since they are both traveling in the same direction. On the journey, Alys and Ronald fall in love and a shocking discovery means they are meant to be together.

"AFTER THE RAIN" by J.C. Wilder. No Elven wants to marry a half-breed elf and human, so Li decides to reside in the mortal realm where she might find love. She obtains work at Graystone; one of her jobs is cleaning the hundreds of stone gargoyles without touching them. During a storm, one of the stone creatures topples off the shelf but Li catches it. The gargoyle turns into the eleven Prince Nikolaz of Rivenhaven. He kidnaps her and takes her to his family home where he enjoys a family reunion after being gone a hundred seasons. When the peacekeepers abduct Li, Nitolax realizes how much she means to him and sets out to rescue her.

PARADOX III is a spellbinding magical tale and enthralling reading experience. The writing styles of Rosemary Laurey and J.C Wilder compliment each other so readers will never find themselves preferring one story over another because it is like comparing two different, deliciously juicy-tasting fruits. These two authors are expert world builders and are two of the best writers of romantic fantasy on the market today.
