“I lost my phone I have been waiting 2 weeks get approved ”

“Worst insurance ever dealt with”

I paid my O2 insurance for 2 years, monthly. So 2 weeks ago my phone broke, I made a claim, they said they’d pick it up the next day and if the claim is approved I’d get a new phone in 3-5 working days. The claim was approved and 8 working days later I get a text saying they don’t have my phone in stock and will get in touch when they do. It was done by courier and received by them which they confirmed by text. I took out the insurance sold to me by O2 and recommended. In October my pone screen cracked. I phoned the Insrance company and gave them my pick up address (Work) I am in the military and have 24 hour security entering the establishment. I briefed the security to expect the courier. had o2 insurance since renewing my contract with them last december. paying £12.50 a month, although i don't know what for now! My phone broke last tuesday night, rang them wednesday morning. I lost my phone on holiday and promptly called O2 insurance. I spent a long time on the phone reporting the incident to only to be told I must also complete a form with the same information. It then took over a week to process the claim. I then recieved the wrong colour iphone (black instead of gold). I got insurance for my son who's 13, smart move, one broken screen later. The problem, as it turns out was with 'find my iPhone and the cloud. I was told to turn off the function but not to delete it from the iCloud. After almost 3 hours, yes 3 hours on the phone listening to very unknowledgeable staff at O2 insure, not O2 but another company, I spoke to Apple Customer Services. Claimed my insurance and it took at least 3 trials to send my phone to wearhouse. Okay,let's say that's DPD's fault but insurance company send me the wrong colour phone and when I tried to sort it out they were lik "well, at least you have the phone!". I could not just continue with it. Made me cry over nothing. Such a big dissapointment.i always had a good O2 customer servise but as a first time insurance claimer it was horrific experience. Took 5 days to receive my handset. They make you fill in form of how you lost it, then you have to register your phone as lost on a website as well as send i.d. The form has to be physically signed hence why it took 5 days. So i waited 5 days for a handset that doesnt work to then be told ive got to wait another 4 days to receive my new phone. O2 send out refurbished phones without doubt. I would never use o2 again… Read Full Review
