I moved into a new property that I bought a while ago. The only company due to me living in a rural location that could offer broadband at the time was talk talk. I paid over the odds for broadband phone and line rental and even though I must have logged over 50 calls in the first 18 months of having the service they didn’t sort the problem. “A cheaper tariff is available and TalkTalk kept...”

A cheaper tariff is available and TalkTalk kept charging me for landline phone calls and today is the last straw as they charged me £5.12 for a 40 minute call started at 6:30pm and said it costs 12p per minute!!! I wish I wish, I wish, I wish I had read Review Centre before I signed up with TalkTalk for phone and broadband. I have had intermittent broadband for coming up a month now, that is it just goes off for up to half an hour at random times, and I am bombarded with err timed out and err connection reset. Terrible Internet connection, constantly drops out and sometimes for hours at a time. Considering we supposedly live in a digital age, I most certainly am not. Thankfully 02 have a good deal on their mobile data, otherwise I would be paying a fortune for my phone bill as well as paying for Internet that works for only 50% of the time… Read Full Review

“Happy now that my contract ended ”

Fibre broadband averaging 9mb sometimes dropping to as low as 5mb no good if streaming tv . Talk Talk sale team advised me to upgrade to the 76 mb fibre package for only £10 a month . What's the point upgrading when they could not even give me even close to the 38mb as advertised package . “Corrupt Firm, Led By Liars & Cheats”

The TalkTalk website states that they reply to complaints within 7 days. They also say that the customer can choose whether TT should reply to their complaint by phone OR in writing. But their so-called policy is false. In phone calls of previous weeks, TT staff have repeatedly said that TT only reply to complaints by phone; they do not want to put anything in writing. “Non existent service and support from Talk Talk”

In November we suddenly started getting hundreds of nuisance calls every day from people claiming that we had called them. I checked our phone call record, but we had made none of the calls. It appears that an autodialler had been phoning other Talk Talk customers and then spoofing our telephone number to hide their identity. “Terrible service! ”

I signed up to Talk Talk when I moved house. I should have known before the service began that it was a bad idea because firstly, they delivered the router on the wrong day, then they delivered it to the wrong address. When I rang up to complain, I was hung up on. I called back and was told that we had requested to cancel. We hadn't (though I wish we had!) Over a period of a week of being with talk talk broadband and mobile I started having problems with both, my broadband kept crashing and my mobile data and calls stopped. According to talk talk my bill escalated from £5 to £300 over a night of data usage from using bbm even though nothing was downloaded and I used my WiFi. “Terrible customer service ”

We have had several problems with Talk Talk. They allocated us a landline number then changed it to a completely different one. We were told an engineer would come to set up a rooter but they didn't call me to let me know when they were coming, so I nearly missed the engineer. Then the engineer only set up the phone number and not the rooter because one hadn't been sent by Talk Talk. We had to wait weeks for one to arrive as several 'went missing'! “ discusting company ”

worst telephone company I even met. the way they treats customers is terrible. ridiculous charge on late payment, I got a bill from talk talk is was $69 dollars and I forgot pay for it, then they sent me a bill with a penalty charges of $1300 dollars.( normal telephone company charge you $20 dollars for late payment). I am appalled at the way you been treated. If your issue is not already resolved I suggest you use the RESOLVER website to handle your complaint. It easy and effective and stores all your correspondence. My personal experience of talk talk customer services has been abysmal but still nothing in comparison with what you have to suffer.

“Stay Away”

Seem OK when you sign up. But I moved house, they let me down on the first second and third install date. The service centre is in India and no one knows what they are doing! Cost me time off work and left me with no Internet for a month. I went with Virgin who had me installed within 48hrs. “You get what you pay for”

Absolute joke, just spent 30 mins trying to cancel my contract. Was passed around and put on hold for most of the time and spoke to 6 different people, then tried online chat while on hold and eventually the lady on the phone cancelled. Talktalk are cheap and they did give you some extras for free on the landline that other companies charge for, but that is the only good thing about them 1. they like to put the price up mid-contract. 2. the broadband is super slow compared with other well… Read Full Review

“Constant "maintenance" stopping access to e-mail”

It seems you can't go one month without a significant outage on their e-mail server leaving you without access to your e-mail for 2-3 days. They claim to have done enough to warn you by putting a notice of "planned maintenance" on your My Account page. But who ever goes into their My Account pages? Talk Talk are very good at sending out broadcast e-mails and letters to explain their regular increase in prices, but not when it comes to providing a decent service to existing customers.
