The Sharp Cd-es222e Hifi Is Currently On Sale At A

The Sharp CD-ES222E hifi is currently on sale at Argos (10/11/05), for the measily price of £39.99. I brought one, with the hope I'd got a bargain. I found the sound a little too muddy for me though. There's not a lot of treble given. This may be due to the speaker cabinets only containing one 4" "Full Range" Woofer though. Maximum volume, whilst only 40w, is good though. This is helped by the bass given though, which although a little boxey, is good for the price.

Hi! I would say the system is loud when nearing full volume, it does distort though, especially when bass is applied! If you want to be able to play music at high volume, I'd look for a system with 50 - 100w RMS per channel. You will get better clarity and bass. Hope this helps.
