Sony MDR-E818LP

I've had these headphones before but unfortunately they broke. But these headphones are very good for their price, very recommended!

Is this suitable to Micromax q5 mobile?? and is it both talking and listining music??

i bought the sonyearphones as a upgrade from my jvc headphones they wee £4 on sale and they where rubbish the best earphones so far good base good to block out noise and such a small price £6.99 verygood this is my 4th pair in 3 years the first and second pair broke around the jack the 3rd the earphone piece got caught in the door and i have a pair now thank you argos so much for great headphnes if you want good base earphones pick these i would diffenetly recomend. Thank you i would diffenetly buy them again bye argos there the bestok dffenetly buy no dought for the small price of £7.49

My usual workout earphones broke, so I just got these and I was testing them out. (got them from a Future Shop in Toronto)

First impression: great value.

I was a bit hesitant to buy these since they weren't even $10, but I really could spend some time with these earphones. I also own Sennheiser CX-300 II as well.

One thing that Sennheiser CX-300 II and this Sony have in common is their powerful bass. However, in comparison to the Sennheiser (which costs 10x more), the Sony MDR-E818LP lacks a lot of clarity. Also, the bass is a bit "murky" - but keep in mind the Sony costs $10 and Sennheiser costs $100+

Another downside: a lot of other reviewers seems to be that these things break easily. I'll have to see about this, but it's $10, and you get what you pay for.

Great fit. They're pretty big and they come with earpads; they fit very securely in my ears.

The Sony MDR-E818LP is very good ....got it yesterday....very impressed so far

These Sony MDR-E818LP headphones are comfortable and do not fall out of my ears like other ear buds I have used. They have great sound, probably the best out of any headphones I've used. They are able to pick up bass sounds without just sounding like bad vibrations in your ears. They lasted for a few years while other headsets have only lasted me a few months and I use my headphones at least 3 days out of every week. My last pair stopped working in my left ear, although they did last for a few years before that happened. There must be headphones that are able to pick up better sound out there, but I have yet to find them so until then, these are the best headphones out there that I've used.

Great head phones and good quality for the money.For a person just looking for a really good sturdy earphone go for these. Not worth paying 90 bucks on earphones how much more clear do u need to hear your music.I purchased mine for my psp really good and the cord is perfect length.

Sony brand name at an affordable price.

I've had these Sony MDR-E818LP earphones since May 2005 and they still work perfectly - they've had their rattle in the left-earphone moments but with the amount of bass I've put through these I'm surprised they still work at all! To get the best out of them though you need a good quality music player, myself, I've had a Sony Ericsson W550i Walkman phone and currently have a Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot k800i which both have superb mp3 players. Previously I've had a set of 'apparently' superior Pansonics which cost more, but it was just a breath of fresh air when I bought these! Sony have once again shown that they are the best of the best when it comes to audio products.

I have a similar pair of headphones that came with my mp3 player - I was happy with them until I bought some E818's - what a difference! Produces better sound at lower volume level.
