EKM was good a few years ago and they was only charging you £19.99 + VAT a month no matter what is your annual turnover. About a year ago, they increased it by £5 which is coming up to £29.99 INC VAT, it was OK and i was more than happy with that. Now they will charge you £179 a month because you are working hard. This is ridiculous. I'm in the process of leaving them. I'm more than sure there are a lot of alternatives who won't be looking in your pocket. I don't need account manager! And I never asked to move onto the Established Plan. You are saying that your account manager has increased my sales a lot, I don't see how can you increase my sales?! The only one who is increased my sales is the GOOGLE ADWORDS.£179 a month, can't believe it! ROBBERS!!!Also was trying to leave my review on TRUSPILOT, which is not actually TRUST and it gets removed. They pay them money and choose which review to leave and which one they can remove.

Thought I would give it a try after reading all the recent mostly negative reviews about the price increases. If they can warrant that kind of price, then surely it must be worth looking at. Well, if compared with other similar sites (Highwire, Shopify, Bluepark etc.) the themes are dated and limited on alteration capabilities. Then when it came to cancelling the free trial, I was told to call the telephone number as this cannot be done via email for security purposes. Nonesense! They're simply hoping people forget to cancel within 14 days so they can charge the cards already on file. It's a shame as with a few changes here and there they could really be serious contenders, but at the moment they are well down the pecking order.

Used to be a great site, but with the launch of the new price plans in October 16 I would now advise any business that wants to grow to look eleswhere. We have used them for the past number of years and now have an established business with a healthy turnover, this healthy turnover is now the reason we are leaving EKM. The new price brackets (of which there a 3 specified on the EKM website) are solely based on the sites turnover, which for us means going from £30 per month to £149.99 per month. When I have spoken to EKM about this the lady informed me that there were extra things included such as : an account manager - not sure what they think the business owners do all day? A monthly site review - again, its our business and we are more that capable of looking at it and reviewing it. Suggestions in how to make it better - again, its our business, who do you think knows best? Along with a lot of other pointless, so called, benefits. I did explain we did not want these as they were all taken care of by ourselves, to which she said "those are the prices, there is no negotiation, you do not have to stay with us if you do not like it" and I think that sentence says it all really. Trying to profit from others harx work is not a long term plan for companies that want to hang around. I forsee a mass migration from EKM leaving them no one to charge these ridiculous prices too, and it will serve them right for being greedy and not sticking to what they have been doing well for so many years previous.

EKM used to to be a great and very cost effective solution for both small and larger businesses, but these days (August 2016....) EKM has changed and changed for the worse, they are now simply profiteering from their customers and have recently increased their fees by circa 600% without any real additional benefits.

This increase has been forced on existing customers despite large increases having also been made only a matter of a few months before and promises at the time that no further increases would be introduced.

However following the construction of their own new purpose built £5M offices and staff gyms, games rooms, cafes etc etc etc, they are now introducing even larger increases. I suggest that you look at some of the other alternative eCommerce providers that exist, they offer the same if not better solutions with far more features and features that actually work (unlike many of EKM's features) and for a fraction of the cost. It really does seem like EKM has lost the plot is focused simply on its own profits at the expense of its clients.

I had a few false starts with getting my online store up and running. Tried a couple of well known companies before EKM and their level of support and service fell well short of what was promised. For an absolute beginner like myself EKM were patient and understanding of every request I made for help (and there were quite a few). Every member of staff I have spoken to have been courteous and well informed. Their templates are easy to understand and customise and I feel I am on my way to creating a website I can be proud of and my customers want to buy from.

We have been using EKM for many years now and have nothing but praise for their dedication to help customers and in providing a stable platform for our online shop. As a complete IT luddite, I find that their support team are extremely patient in explaining tech matters in a way I can actually understand-full kudos to them. I also like the continual updates and improvements that are made to the site mechanics-very welcome and shows how keen the guys are in keeping up with the technology.

We have recently set up a new business and required a website, eventually chose to go with EKM as we had heard that they provide great service. They sure do!

Have been extremely pleased with their devotion to help and assist with any queries/questions and we have contact them a lot of times - they always are helpful and friendly. We were assigned a Personal Coach which has been a massive help to get us started the right way for today's market.

EKM go out of their way and go the extra mile to give you all the advice and support you require for website building and more.

They even gave us a free month because their system didn't integrate with our account system - we originally thought it did but the account system had withdrawn the app to connect with EKM - so it wasn't EKM's fault but they still credited us with a foc month.

Very good company would definitley recommend

Terrible Platform & Also Customer Service!

I paid money to get a customised site given the fact the company advertise themselves with Ebay integration.

The Ebay integration does not work ... this is by admission of the company.

When asked how long the fix would take (after 3 months of awaiting for this) the company failed and would not give a date for what they called a 'bug'.

I'm sorry but waiting for 3 months is not a 'bug' but a serious flaw in the system.

They were not willing to compensate the monthly fee whilst awaiting the fix ... their response to my email was to ask me to refer to their terms & conditions. Most unhelpful and at this stage were still unwilling to give a timescale for a fix to be put in place.

My website was unusable for months.

Sometimes sent emails that received either no response or no resolution.

I would not recommend EKMpowershop for the product or service received.

I am now looking into an alternative supplier to migrate my system.

The owner of the company did eventually email to agree they could not offer the service required and agreed to assist my migration.

To add further insult to injury is the company then sent recommendations of alternative providers (both not offering Ebay to site integration!)

The company offered to migrate my shop.  There were times when I did not get a satisfactory response when I had a problem.  The company describe problems as a 'bug' ... If you have knowledge in IT you will realise not a bug but a really cheap platform.

The outfit is not correctly advertised and do not even sign up if you require Ebay integration.

Upon agreement that the company could not offer the functioning platform required they offered to assist migration.

Once again there were some failed attempts of communication to the owner of the company & senior manager with assistance to migrate: assistance was offered but follow-up was poor.  Of this I have email proof.

In fact have email proof of all the issues encountered with this company for years.

When they can't assist as they do not have the knowledge they do not always respond: I didn't think they were very professional!

Not a good platform.

It is cheap & you get what you pay for!

I spent money ... had a bespoke site designed (although the design was done by myself) - paid for SEO ... Still was not satisfied with the level of customer service.

Avoid this company like the plague.

Ekmpowershop then took the bespoke site that I had designed before I had a chance for a new web designer to replicate ... The bespoke design was active for less than a year & paid £2000 ... Have now taken legal action against this terrible company?

What can I say? If all companies had him working for them this country would be back on its feet in no time!

After pondering over my EKM shop as how to manage certain things and how to improve it, I gave up and decided to call their support team.

I didn't expect to have such an amazing service along with help of how to actually help my shop grow with a few tips and tweaks.

Their new test shop feature is superb and he listened to what I wanted out of the system and advised so well I am now going ahead to make those changes with a positive way forward to grow my business.

EKM you have an absolute diamond there, hold on to him!

I set up my own web site and spent a couple of years working all my spare time to keep it up to date. It took so long to set up a page. After finding ekmpowershop, all my listings on Ebay were transferred within minutes and a web site set up. It was so quick and easy to add items, give discounts, have special offers. If there is anything I'm not sure about there is always someone on the phone to help. Everything you do is clear with easy instructions. Setting up payments no problem. In fact Best move I ever made. So if your looking for ease of use and good support ekmpowershop is the place to start.
