written by DavidLobo on 17/06/2021

I have use your product to 20 years and it was great two day ago I upgraded and my life went to shXt why? you have wrecked a great product and gave me a nightmare that stop working with Amazon and net-fil's and a lot of inter add-on of other software. I restore my computer not I have to find a way to stop your up grade. Now let me made my self clear, I do not want to be cool or awesome. I just want to use a computer and not spend my time learn a new skill. Go back to the drawing board fire the awesome people who could not build on a great platform and had to be awesome. I hate awesome people they wreck ever thing they touch

Having struggled with Chrome, Firefox is a relief. Fast, Fast, Fast. Chrome, with its freeze-ups sent us back to the 1980s. Ugh!

“very slow browser”

★★☆☆☆

written by JKibJK on 24/12/2017

This browser is extremely and crashed frequently. Maybe if you have a high-powered computer it will work for you, but for my laptop, it is incredibly frustrating to use. Every time I try to load a page, Firefox takes a message, and sometimes it gets back to me. Other times, it just ignores my attempts. I am using, but like to have 2 browsers going, and I wish they would fix Firefox because I don't want any of the other options. I sometimes wonder if the rave reviews are being written by Firefox itself because I do not see any improvement in the "new" Firefox.

“Crash at imp moment”

★★★☆☆

written by LaceyWatson132 on 24/04/2017

I was loving firefox. But now it is keep crashing in my crucial events like while loading resume to apply job or similar king of activities. It totally sucks when your are almost done with your process and browser crashes. It automatically sending crash reports to Mozilla so waited for 2/3 months so they might fix this in coming releases. But never happened. Finally, I stop using this piece of junk. Uninstalled and not left any single piece of trash from any folder including regedit from my PC.

If you ever have a problem don't expect to solve it using their "support forum" First, you may not get a response for a week. Second, trying to navigate through there online answered questions is a joke. You type in your question in the support search bar and what it brings up doesn't even have anything to do with your question.

“4th Amendment”

★★★★☆

written by jrhouser39 on 17/04/2014

Although Mozilla Firefox has been my browser of choice for a number of years, the failure of this company to support the freedom of speech guaranteed by the 4th Amendment when it recently sacked its CEO in favor of oppressive gay rights intolerance for traditional (and legal) opinions on the definition of marriage makes it impossible for me to continue with this browser.

“No Longer Use It”

★★☆☆☆

written by dukespaniel on 09/05/2013

I used Firefox for a long time and then it started getting squirrelly. One day when trying to use it a message popped up saying "Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." I found a forum for Firefox troubleshooting and found going back in time I had 1000s of users for company. Like most other users I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling it without benefit. To keep things current I went ahead and repeated this issue and got the same responses from FF telling me to look for something I couldn't find since I was unable open the profiles or the default files. Every time I clicked on the FF file on my computer it would disappear and then reappear and disappear again when I repeated the step. I was asked about the firewall and the antivirus programs on my computer which I've been using for a long time with FF without issue. Apparently that wasn't the problem because they never mentioned it again. After wasting a lot of time I decided I'd had enough and was going to be content using Internet Explorer which I have done ever since.

“Great browser but uses a lot of memory”

★★★★☆

written by on 18/11/2012

I like Firefox, it has a lot of good features, and the best thing about it is the number of add-ons. Compared to the other browsers, Firefox has miles more add-ons and this makes the difference for me Some add-ons I consider essential. On the downside, Firefox uses a lot of memory, and it sometimes crashes because it's using more than 1GB of RAM. And Chrome is noticeably quicker to use when browsing. If it weren't for the add-ons, I would probably switch to Chrome, but for now Firefox is my preference.

The programmers of Mozilla Firefox should quietly change their profession and never attempt again to write a software. You are an embarrassment.

written by sdobbie on 09/12/2010

It has some nice features but it's fundamental flaws severely reduce it's goodness. Sometimes when you click on a website that normally works, it redirects to p.orn, or another stupid website which gives results for what you just searched for. It also sometimes corrupts the downloads and crashes frequently(at least it's better than internet explorer which hardly works at all).

Have used IE for 7 years, 6 months ago I thought I'd try out Chrome. Disaster! Pages frequently crash, fail to load, slows down the machine. Tried their solutions in \"under the hood\", still didn't work for me. So today I thought Id give Firefox a go, friends, neighbours use and recommend it. Early days yet, but looks ok. I guess it's horses for courses!

“Firefox is the best web browser I have ever used,...”

★★★★★

written by on 14/10/2010

Firefox is the best web browser I have ever used, showing what websites may be attack sites, scanning downloaded files, automaticaly updating, and haveing unreal stability. Not only does firefox have this as stock but has thousands of free add-ons that are very easy to add and require minimal computer knowledge to add Firefox also has the best support for plugins and web scripting i know, displaying pages how they are scripted, being able to display from style sheets with ease whilst still keeping up it's remarkable and award winning speed.

I would reccomend the futuristic, Fast, Secure user freindly web browser to anyone, as;
1)Quick download from http://mozilla.com/
2)Very easy set-up, no technical jargon
3)Easy to use
4)Easy to customise
5)Won extensive awards for performance

Stable, compatible, good speed. The extensions are fantastic. Install flash, java and shockwave plugins and you're good to go. Get a dictionary in your language, noscript is great for web safety, as is WOT. Java script engine upgrades coming soon will see Firefox catch up to webkit browsers such as Chrome and Safari. Go Mozilla!

★★★★☆

written by ReeceBlack on 15/08/2010

Firefox is still my favourite browser, although chrome is faster - the sheer number of features and add-ons in Firefox makes it seem more like a complete browser.

Recently it seems to be getting more and more unstable, with frequent crashes, and it's a notorious memory hog - but despite this, I just can't seem to let it go.

In my opinion, it's the best browser out there.. but for how long?

written by slasherxxx on 17/03/2010

Mozilla Firefox well well well, is one of the best web browsers out there i would recommend this to my family and friends because of the convenience when setting it up, and of course the security when browsing the net is superb! But some of the older versions of this software has some bugs that made me upset, but they already fixed those problems and i must say i really enjoyed the latest release of this web browser, and will stick to it forever.

“I was getting so fed-up with IE8 hanging up, virus...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 12/03/2010

I was getting so fed-up with IE8 hanging up, virus attack attempts and so on that I decided to try Mozilla Firefox 3.6. At first I was quite happy with it, but the more I use it the more I get frustrated with it. Part of Firefox's big selling point is that it's significantly faster than other browsers. Well I've have now tried IE8, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome and Safari against each other and cannot say that I've noticed any significant difference between any of them. There are so many links, websites etc that are not compatible with Firefox it's unbelievable.
All the time you keep on getting pestered to downlaod "Add-ons" in order for these applications/web pages to work. You install official add-ons via Firefox website and when you come to install and run them you get a message saying that either that add-on is not compatible with V3.6 or it has been disabled because Mozilla deems that one of it's own add-ons (and not a third party mind you) is unsafe to use.
I haven't changed any settings, but suddenly and for some unkown reason (and I'm quite an experienced web and computer users) won't show frames on my Yahoo Home Page.
Opera doen't have phishing protection and can't be used with Norton so that's out. Safari's interface is just a waste of time and not very user friendly. So that leaves Google Chrome & IE8 to choose from. Google Chome is okay but nothing special. At least you know where you are with IE8 and so I'm going back to the devil I know (but don't necessary love).

I found this review not helpful because...
<br/>I think its written by an MS shill. The review states that plugins were not installed, so of course some websites don't work, this is true of any browser, stability is not an issue, nearly all websites work with Firefox. Not credible.

I have been using Firefox for many years now and I have a complete contrast of your review. Firefox for 1 is an open source project and doesn't sell anything so they don't need a selling point, and Firefox add-ons if added correctly, (Not difficult) Are some of the stablest add-ons for any browser, You saying Firefox disabling add-ons because they are unsafe as a bad point.. i don't get it? Isn't it good for them to prevent security holes? Also you can choose to ignore their warning if they do say that.

IT definitely is the BEST browser every made !! REALLY no doubt how this has changed my life when i switched from the old fashioned Internet explorer browser but come to say this was a nice addon. I can have anything i want on it
i can watch news, the weather and all what i can think of in multiple tabs or even install addons for that.
One of the best addons i liked is TW Booster, it allows me to have fun in TW with no worries about the time i am spending, and since it is only available on FF it's the referrer that made me install firefox which i completely owe the ease of use !!
I recommend it to everyone
