I Found This Cat Food And Thought It Looked Like A
I found this cat food and thought it looked like a good buy, also it was available in my local supermarket saving me a special trip to the vets for my regular. About 3 months after changing brands one of my two cats was rushed to the vet for an emergency operation for a blocked bladder with build up of mineral deposits. After this I was told by the vet to feed him on wet food only for the rest of his days as he had nearly died.
Of course, I dont know if the change in food was the cause of his problems, but I wasnt about to take anymore risks and now use another brand of dried food for my other cat. It is no longer stocked in the supermarket.

Olli All Natural Goodness I Found A New Cat Food!
Olli All Natural Goodness
I found a new cat food! I only really noticed it because it was in a different shaped box, but having noticed it I had to have a closer look - which I would think is probably the whole reason for putting it in the box to start with. The name is 'Olli' and it is made by Butcher's Pet Care Limited.
Olli is a dry complete cat food which is made with natural ingredients and contains no artificial flavourings, colours or preservatives. It comes in two flavours: Fresh Salmon with herring and shrimp or Fresh Chicken with duck and liver.
The box - or tub - is reminiscent of the shape more familiar in Cadbury's Roses - or Quality Street than cat food. It has a plastic top which covers a foil seal. The claim is that it is easy to pour and resealable. It holds 400g and costs £1.69. I will agree that it IS easy to pour, and the plastic lid does seal it so that it stays fresh - that is if it lasts that long! The feeding guide recommends 20-35g for cats weighing 2-3 kilos, 35-50g for cats of 3-5 kilos and 50-75g for cats weighing 5-7 kilos. With my six cats - the largest weighing 7.5 kilos I feel this would be rather costly to say the least. As far as I know, Olli only comes in the one size - which would last six cats about one to one and a half days. However, I worked this out AFTER I bought it to sample.
Now, to the feline test panel: The flavour I bought then to sample was the Chicken version and the appearance was much like other dry cat foods, little round biscuit-like kibbles - in several shades of brown. The cats were quite impressed - not that that says much - it WAS food after all. However, being cats, they do have likes and dislikes - some dry food they reject totally leaving me with bags of the stuff - usually when I've been clever and bought the larger size! I won't say that this is one of their favourites but they do eat it readily.
The claims for this cat food are that it produces healthy skin and glossy coat; it is palatable and easily digested. It has balanced amino acids for strong muscles, minimises the risk of urinary calculi, can help to keep teeth clean and healthy and is free from ingredients that cause allergic skin reactions.
The website is: www.ollipetcare.com and is worth a visit if you like cats.
Would I buy this product again? Yes - with reservations. I wouldn't buy it regularly because for six mostly large cats it would be uneconomical. If I had one or even two cats it would be different. The package states that it will feed an average cat for five days. Unfortunately seven and a half kilos doesn't class as 'average' (and two of the others aren't much smaller). Would I recommend it? Well, I can only say that my cats like it, and for me that is a recommendation.
I hope this will be useful - thank you for reading.
