Debbie and myself arrivd at the apartments in July 2010 and had a holiday to remember. The apartment was very clean and Makis and his sister were very freindly. The pool area was always immaculate and inviting. Will be going back this year and cannot wait. Thanks Makis for getting me to the hospital while passing a kidney stone. We would recommend this part of the world to anyone.

We stayed in Erietta for 1 week, 5 persons in 3 rooms and need to warn others!!!
The owner is a VERY rude guy! Should not work with peoples at all! All the rules
he has! The way he speaks to you it`s like you were stupid!
We got to keep the rooms for some extra hours to take a shower befor going home. I asked him for clean towels, because we only got clean towels ones! He rudly asked me " Why do you need clean towels?! You going to move today!! if I give you clean ones I will not have clean ones for the new guests!!!!!"
We got new ones just because his sister got afraid,because she heard us speak to the travel agency.
That's not all, but it's to much to write.
The rooms seems clean, but they are not! There is a lot of dust everywhere, poor peoples with allergy! His sister is runing around, it`s looks like she is cleaning a lot, but she's not!

We don't recommend this place at all!!! AT ALL!!!!!!!

Having just returned from a week's holiday, staying at Erietta Studios and Apartments in Kefalonia, we were very pleased with our holiday. We found the owners were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, and we were even invited to a local fiesta up in the mountains.
The location is very near the airport, we took a taxi and realised two minutes later we could have walked, which we did on our return. The airport is fairly quiet so it is not a problem at all.
Transport is a must as it is a very quiet area, but there is plenty of car & scooter hire available locally.
There are two blocks of apartments, some newly refurbished, we stayed in the older ones, they were clean and comfortable. We will return to Kefalonia sometime as it is stunning, and will stay at Erietta's again.

Please don't let the other comments put you off! We had a lovely time. The owners were very friendly & helpful. The pool area was very welcoming & well looked after. The rooms were modern & cleaned daily & provided ample outside seating space. Although the apartments are close to the airport there are only a few flights a week so really not a problem. If you are looking for a rowdy holiday you have picked the wrong Island not the wrong resort. Svoronata is perfect for couples & families.

A car is a must as buses are infrequent & there is so much of the Island to see. The local beaches are well worth a visit along with the Olive Press restaurant across the road & Fois restaurant just up from Ammes Beach.

The owners are very proud of their apartments (who would blame them), repay this & you will have a brilliant time.

Studios Erietta are a clean well maintained typically Greek apartments. They are set in a quiet location by the airport, don't let the close proximity to the airport put you off, the airport has only a handful of flights a week. I found the owner to be extremely welcoming and friendly, he is very proud of his property and rightly so!

The pool area and gardens are immaculate, the bar is well stocked with international beverages and a small snack menu. The excellent Olive Press is two minutes away which serves the most wonderful of fresh Greek cuisine. The capital of Kefalonia is ten minutes away by taxi the busy resort of Lassi is even closer.
I would recommend the hire of a car for a few days to see the island, please don't let the bad reviews put you off, I can only assume people came here expecting Sky Sports, all day English Breakfast etc etc. If you do come here you will find a wonderful Greek holiday.

Although near to the airport there was hardly any noise. If you stay at Erietta, a car is a must, as with almost everywhere in Kefalonia. If your idea of a holiday is a quiet relaxing one that does not involve getting smashed every night or screaming and shouting or making a nuisance by the pool, then this is the ideal place and the owner will not give you any problems.

The Erietta Studios in Kefalonia were in themselves very nice, even though they were only 2 minutes from the airport, which didn't affect us at all. There was however a major downside to staying at the Errieta Studios, this being the owner. He was hugely obsessive about his precious pool area, which appeared not to be of a resort, but his personal home, and also his incredible list of rules. These rules consisted of not being able to laugh, smile, run, breath or show any signs of life, and most definitely NO ball games. The only other downside to the apartment was firstly that they were only cleaned once in seven days, and secondly that opening your small bathroom window whilst having a shower is a definite no no.

All in all, the island is a beautiful place that should most definitely be visited by everyone, though through first hand experience I really wouldn't recommend staying at the Erietta apartments.

Although the Erietta Studios and Apartments in Kefalonia are only 2 minutes from the airport, we didn't find this a problem. The problem was the owner. He was very nice when we first arrived, but he soon changed when our daughters decided to play with a ball in the pool. This is a definite no no, as is opening your bathroom window when taking a shower. We had two rooms which were very nice, but they were only cleaned once in 7 days. Catering facilities are poor, as there is no kettle, no toaster, no oven and no grill. However, it is cheap to eat out, and the Kefalonian people are happy to get whatever you ask for. We ate at the local taverna, which is only 2 minutes walk, and it was very nice.

We had a great time, but it could have so easily been ruined by the owner and his rather strict rules.

On arrival at the Erietta Studios and Apartments in Kefalonia we were greeted by the owner, who at first meeting seemed quite pleasant. However, this was later to become a myth, as he was very curt and unhelpful. First impressions of the studios were that they were adequate for their purpose, as we only intended to use them as a base. The cooking facilities were extremely basic with the pan (no kettle) taking 20 minutes or so to boil. I would dread to think how long it would take to cook something, although this didn't bother us as we don't cook on holiday anyway. The pool area (with its own bar) was lovely, with plenty of sun loungers and tables. However, despite telling us that the pool bar was always open from 9.00 until 2.00 then 5.00 till 9.00 we discovered different. The owner took his siesta time whenever he felt like it, leaving nowhere to get a drink or something to eat, or even use the toilet without going back to your studio. We also noticed the obsessiveness with his pool and loungers. If one was left at a different head height than the others this seemed to disturb him greatly. Apparently, you cannot even play with a beach ball in the pool!! Pool loungers are provided, perhaps because this discourages splashing. We made the mistake of leaving the fan on in our room one morning and we were shouted at across the pool area to turn it off; no pleasantness, just curtly told 'number 2 fan on!' with a gesture towards our studio.

However, all this aside we enjoyed our stay, as it became almost fun to watch the strangeness of our host and his antics. Bar prices - 1 bottle of lager 3 Euros, everywhere else a large beer was 2 euros. Everyone we met outside of Errietta studios was very pleasant and very helpful, as we experienced in a bar in Argostolli (Kafeneion, no 78 on the port side). We had run out of cigarettes and asked the barman where we could get some, "smoke mine" was his reply, and after sharing his cigs he came out said "watch the bar", then returned from his trip to the shop carrying two packs. He is the most pleasant man we have ever met, and his bar was cheap and friendly. The owner of the apartments should take some tips from him! Just 50 yards up the road was the Olive Press taverna, which served good food, and the hosts were excellent, and they also served cheap beer. Everyone we met, except the apartment owner, was wonderful.

Although the Erietta Studios and Apartments are close to the airport, the noise was not a problem. There were hardly any flights during the week, and there were no night flights. Sunday was the busiest flight day. The area itself, whilst some people would think it is out of the way, it is quite central to everything and they are only a taxi ride away. The walk to the beach is 20 minutes which is OK with me, but not for some others.

The Erietta studios currently consist of 12 fairly large studios, studios are kept very clean and sheets are regularly changed. Airport noise can sometimes grow tiring (although there is very little noise mid-week). If staying in Kefalonia car hire is a must, the island itself is quite large with many beautiful areas however reaching this areas via public transport is extremely difficult. When hiring a car we found that Etam car rental in Lassi or Skala was by far the cheapest option. The Svoronata resort itself is not very large and does not consist of many restaurants/bars (tavernas). If staying in Erietta studios the nearest beach is at least a 20 minute walk away, however this walk would be very difficult for children especially due to height temperatures. The owner of Erietta studios takes very good care of his pool and sunbeds e.t.c. however we discovered that he became somewhat obsessive and impolite with some matters, for example if you make a splash when entering the pool you can expect to be told off and spoken to like a child by the studio owner. During our stay in the Erietta studios the owner became progressively more unpleasant, he became extremely unhelpful and answered every question 'not my problem' whilst shrugging his shoulders, at one point he began to bellow at our neighbours for moving a table out of the wind. Overall Kefalonia is a fantastic island with beautiful scenery and fantastic beaches (especially myrtos) however the best areas to stay would be the resorts of Sami, Poros, Fiskardo or Agia Effemia.
