I have never used one of these self service booths and I will never use another again. I followed all the instructions and had to scan a QR code to start the process. A £1 was requested and I then paid for my photos. The next day several payments where taken and my account on Good Friday has been frozen due to fraudulent activity. I noticed customer services at M Spielmann and I have a very poorly worded and grammatical flawed email telling me it was nothing to do with them and for me to be more careful in the future. They should safeguard there customers better and if they know its easy to be hacked they need to advise or update there systems to make them safer. Never will use these booths again huge sham!!!

I went in castlegate shopping centre branch in stockton on Tees. Tegan was working and she was very helpful and polite. She went out of her way to help me and show me how to use there machine. I think she as a excellent customer service experience. She is very welcome in to the shop

Not good customer service still waiting for an expensive Christmas present. Won’t ever shop here again. The staff just don’t care.

My son and I went to take some pictures for our Spanish passport (the photo size is almost the same for UK passport) ... When I went to pay I was completely shocked, the cost was £30 ... The staff said it was £15 each, only 4 photos and I had to crop them! I can't believe it!... Definitely I won't come back. Really bad experience at Crystal Peaks Shopping Center in Sheffield.

I have visited shop in Lancaster with my husband and son for a photo shoot session. I wasn't impressed with the service received. The lady was very nice but she had no idea what to do. Firstly the flash on a camera didn't work, it only flashed every fifth picture taken, she spent ages trying to fix it, she even managed to drop it on the floor, then when we chose the pictures we have been told to come back after 15 minutes, we came back 30 minutes later, only to be told to come back later. After confusion with payment ( gift voucher plus cash) we finaly got our pictures. Only when I got to the car I have noticed that on one picture half of my head was cut off?! Other picture has been cut so low down that when I want to frame it I would be only able to see my sons head without neck, most of the pictures are cut randomly, not even. I don't want to waste my time to go back and ask for the pictures to be reprinted. I'm not happy with the service and will definitely not come back. That was meant to be professional family photo shoot but to be honest I would probably take better pictures myself and later print at home

Don't normally complain but when your passport photo is wrong and you paid for a professional service it is stressful. They said it was fine but I did question how it looked and they said it was guaranteed so I thought they must know. Sent off and guess what, failed so took the passport office advice to resolve quickly and got a mate to take a photo of me on his iPhone and used the website to reapply and it passed. Poor service for top bucks beware if you need your passport quickly better getting a fiend to take it and use website

Went into the Macclesfield shop with my wife for passport photos. I realise that few are ecstatic about their own passport photo but they were done so quickly and my wife was very unhappy with the outcome. The assistant just said that no one is happy with them and left it at that. Surely it would be better, especially with ladies, to take more than one and offer a choice especially when charging £10 for the service which seems a lot for a quick one snap digital photo. Booked an appointment with a proper photographer who will take a bit more time and care using lighting etc and charge only £5 more.

I had passport photos taken here recently. However, the passport office wrote to me saying the photos were not accepted. I took in the letter but was refused a refund, even though the staff member remembered taking the pictures. Just as well I have time before my holiday to get them done somewhere else. The staff were not helpful at all. I asked for the phone number of customer services and called it but it was the wrong number. When I eventually spoke to them,I told the operator that the passport office did not return my prints, she indignantly asked 'What would they want to keep them for?' I can only surmise that they were kept so that they could be used as a 'How not to take passport photos' for other, more customer conscious companies.

Once again the wigan store has been brilliant I can honestly say I would be lost without her when I go in

I have been for many years a loyal customer. I still believe in the old fashioned 'PHOTOGRAPH', and dont do it any other way. I was given a LIFETIME DISCOUNT CARD, as a recognition of my loyalty at the ASHTON-IN-MAKERFIELD shop. This I have used many times when spending lots of money having photographs developed. I have been to the shop and when I handed my card over was told " Ah. we have been told to look for these, you should never have been given one so I am confiscating it". I was given a new discount card that has an annual charge on it!!!! I am disgusted. If the company have decided not to have a LIFETIME LOYALTY CARD, then dont give any more out, but you shouldnt take them of existing loyal customers. The staff a lovely and I have always been very happy. (except when they lost our holiday photo's and my sons new born baby photo's but that was when they sent them away and nothing to do with the staff in the shop. Your asking me to write a review. Last week it would have been a good one. This week it will be a bad one. !!!!!

Had the best help ever with making sure the pics for two XLarge Aluminiums I ordered were perfect. The girl in shop was super super super helpful, polite, friendly and fab !!! Have a new friend !! Will def be back, great service !!!

decided to order from maxspelman although price was higher than photobox due to 1hr advertised on their website. Placed order for a few prints but when went to shop 3 hrs later the prints were not ready and the assistant was unhelpful suggesting i had done something wrong when placing order. After a few phone calls they found my order and printed it but i left not impressed at all.

I won't use my local Rhyl branch again. All too often strips of film are placed in their strip cutter without being lined up on a frame, causing negs to be cut in half. Complaints result in one being told that they deliberately do not line up before cutting. The last time I visited I was actually told that the wrong cutting was because my film was outdated! Trying to excuse faults by creatively lying to a customer is totally, absolutely, unforgiveable.

I have just been in MaxSpielman to save some photos to CDs. The woman that served me was also serving another 2 customers, whilst another assistant was sat on her backside doing nothing as far as I could see. I stopped at 1 CD as they cost £4 each. I stopped there because it came without an index and was presented to me in a flimsy paper envelope. I am annoyed that the lady didn't point that out to me at the beginning of the process - maybe it was because she was preoccupied with her other customers - who knows! Boots charge £2, you get a large colour index of the pictures and a proper protective CD case. A no brainer as far as I am concerned. I will go to Boots every time in future!! I wouldn't give MaxSpielman any stars at all if it was an option.

My husband had me made 2 photo cushions for my birthday on Sunday, of my 2 beautiful dogs who sadly are no longer with us , I wanted a memorable gift and recently hinted what I wanted , Sunday came and I unwrapped my gifts I couldn't believe the beautiful finish of my 18" crushed velvet cushions of my darling dogs sam & meg , 1 each cushion to sit together , life like sat on the sofa , There stunning , quality of picture is undescribable , looking from kitchen its like there actually sat there them self's. Thank you for your excellent service and keeping my memory's alive , I love them.

We visited the store at Birchwood shopping centre in Warrington today. The puropse of the visit was for a family photo to be taken as a requested christmas present from a family member. None of us were looking forward to it to be honest; especially our teenage daughter who was mortified at the thought of bumping into anyone who she knew ha. Anyway, a lovely lady took our photos and made us feel at ease. The photos are great and were done in a few minutes. The price was fab too, especially with 20% off all package deals at the moment. Would definately recommend.

Bought disposable camera for son's school residential which cost £10 and included processing. Waited over a week for a phone call to collect but the phone call never came so I rang them only to be informed the "film was damaged" so no photos! No apology, no phone call and no photo memories for my boy. Disgusting!
