Hotel Villa Romana Salou

Stayed at the Villa Romana Hotel last week in August 2011 and couldn't complain about anything. The hotel was immaculately clean, especially the restaurant and the food was lovely. We stayed half board and never had to eat at lunchtime as the breakfast was fit for a king! Buffet breakfast and evening meal, different themes each night, something for everyone. Staff were friendly and the kids had fun each day by the pool with the entertainment team. Rooms had a little fridge which was a plus but no kettle for any tea drinkers like myself, although i did bring my own so wasn't a problem. Hotel 15 mins from beach which is lovely and 10 mins from Portaventura Theme Park. We booked through Low Cost Holidays and everything was on time, flights and transfers. All in all a very enjoyable holiday and I would recommend this Hotel to friends.

Despite the hotel stating no one was allowed to reserve sunbeds - when we came down to breakfast there were never any sunbeds left. Small pool area and felt everyone was on top of you - werent able to use the pool as too crowded.

Food and variety of salads could be improved; however choice was good. Room was good and reception staff were efficient

Good hotel, good weather, good location, good transfer, good food. would recommend to all. Bar was best place live music very good. Clean rooms, excellent maid service. All areas of Hotel Villa Romana hotel very clean.

I had a really really great time on holiday. I stayed at the Villa Romana hotel, the hotel was very accommodating, they have all the facilities you need and accessible for wheel chairs and pushchairs. When you first enter the hotel there is a very friendly security guard that says hi and greets you in this way each time he sees you even asking you how you are doing and what you have been up to that day. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool although the pools are non heated they are a good size and clean. My room had a fridge and bath so I was able to relax in the evening and keep by 9 month old babies bottles cool. There is a very large selection of foods in the restaurant and the staff are nice. The hotel is situated very close to the beach 2 mins walk and loads of shops on the way and along the beach front. I felt safe, assured that no one was going to bother you or try and sell you anything. I would defo go back we had a wonderful time. Just to add the area is clean, slopes on every street making it accessible for wheel chairs and buggies and plenty of crossings making it safe to cross.

Go to this hotel and u will have a great time as we did.Only disappointment with Salou is there are 2 many pick pockets about u need 2 b on your guard at all times I got my bag stolen in McDonalds and the Spanish police don't want 2 no .U have been warned!

All round, I would recommend the Hotel Villa Romana as one of the best in Salou. Although, you would think that by now the staff in the restaurant would have picked up the basics of English. The girl in the shop has mastered it though and can actually hold a conversation. No access to our room until 1.30pm but well worth the wait, excellent bar area, night time entertainment as usual, don't expect anything different. Abba has 3 members and all these years there's me thinking there was 4, oh well you learn something new daily! You should not be disappointed with this hotel as it really is good and possibly one of the best in Salou, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Great food, decent facilities, very friendly staff, efficient lifts, good entertainment. Good value for money.

Myself, my wife and my son went in May, it was a good clean hotel with good service and entertainment every night. The hotel is a walk away from Potaventura, the beach and the town centre. I enjoyed the holiday and would go again.

I think anyone who hasn't stayed in Salou and is their first holiday Hotel Villa Romana is great staff friendly and kids clud great and you can eat as much as you like. It is great value for money stayed there last year and I am going back this year.

Villa Romana is really a very good hotel and when we go back to Salou for holidays we will stay definitely in this hotel again.
