ive had my powertrack approx 5yrs now &have had nothing but trouble with the front wheel wobbling,i now have had to keep it locked as if it is on swivel it just completely buckles, have had it adjusted several times but the problem keeps on coming back!would not recommend one for the price until the manufacturer sorts this annoying problem out!!

written by Mummy7 on 27/08/2009

I got the Jane Powertrack for my little one with the car seat and carrycot too. The pushchair is lovely to push, until you get a puncture and that's it impossible to move until it's been fixed, which isn't much use if you're in the middle of nowhere with a baby! If you happen to take it down a kerb at even the slightest angle then it tips over, so you have to take kerbs straight on.
When using the pushchair, the seat doesn't sit completely upright, which isn't very good for a bigger child as they like to sit up and look around.
There is a brake on the handle to help you slow down on hills, but on ours it only worked for a couple of weeks.
The front wheel needs adjusting often or it develops a judder and makes it really difficult to push.
So, the Jane Powertrack looks fantastic, but it's very expensive and full of little problems, so I really wouldn't recommend it.

“We deliberated over which pushchair to get for ages...”

written by Chucklebus on 24/03/2007

We deliberated over which pushchair to get for ages and looked at loads. The Jane Powertrack 360 with matrix car seat is by far the best current option, and better than anything that our friends have bought since. The great thing is that we can put baby to sleep in the cot and carry him to the car and back asleep, without having to wake him up to lift him out of a car seat. Because the car seat is flat in the cot position, you can leave him in it as long as you like (doctors recommend not leaving babies in normal seats for longer than an hour because of damage to their delicate backs).
We can also put him to sleep in the evening in the car seat in the cot position and walk to friends without having to wake him up, and when we go on holiday he sleeps in it so we don't have to worry about taking a travel cot too.

written by andrewsa on 06/02/2006

The Jane Power Track is not bad just disappointing. Given how much it costs, we expected a little more. The biggest problem for us has been the front wheel which has a terrible vibration and we have to leave it on lock. We have had it adjusted but it made little difference - it seems to be a design flaw. The disc brake on the front has been next to impossible to adjust so that it works and we simply don't use it. Talking to other Jane users we know, most have had similar problems.

Overall we have been very impressed by the Jane Powertrack 360 Rebel. Our son is now one year old and we are expecting our second baby at christmas, we like the Jane so much we are buying the Powertwin with the Rebel car seat for the new arrival. It is a delight to push in comparison to some other prams on the market and any problems we have had have been rectified with no fuss by the shop we purchased the pram from.

“We spent a lot of time researching our pushchair, and...”

★★★★★

written by bafiblair on 30/07/2005

We spent a lot of time researching our pushchair, and in the end there was only one choice - the Jane Powertrack. We had problems with a wobbly front wheel, but this was easily solved by tightening the nut on the top of the wheel under the plastic cover. It is a highly manoeuverable machine and easy to use 1 handed. We have used it across all sorts of terrain without any trouble. The shopping basket is small but then we knew this from our research, hence this hasn't bothered us. The quality of it has been first class. It is very light and my wife finds it easy to load into the back of our truck which is high off the ground. It is very easy to fold and unfold although the folding lock has broken. The design (not the quality) is probably at fault here. The disc brake is a good idea and usefull when going down steep hills, however it is difficult to adjust so that there is no rubbing when not being used, yet it has plenty of bite when you need it. I do lots of mountain biking where disc brakes are the norm. The brake fitted to this chair is a very cheap component, and probably not worthy of the price of the push chair. I would also say that a disc brake is overkill when a normal braking system would have worked, if not just as well then probably better! The system used to recline, the seat is well thought out and a doddle to use.
We bought the travel system, and the rebel car seat is very easy to use. Our only gripe, and its potentially quite major, is that the baby sits too upright in the car, which could cause problems in a shunt from the rear. Having said that, it fitted onto the pushchair without any problems and made life very easy. We also bought the cot which was fantastic, again making life easy on long journeys (it can also be attached securely into the car and act as a car seat). We didnt go for the matrix purely because the matrix car seat wouldnt fit in our car properly.
In summary, we have now been using the whole set up for 13 months and our son seems very happy and comfortable in it. We are expecting number 2 very shortly, and so will need a twin/tandem. Funnily enough we are going for the Jane Powertwin as we have been so happy with what we have had. There are a few niggles with the system as I have mentioned, however nothing in life is perfect, and when compared to the others on the market, this stands head and shoulders above them. I can't recommend this more strongly. Oh and I reckon this is the best looking chair of the lot. It looks 'gadgety' so dads wont loose their cool when bumping into their mates on the street or in the pub!!!!!!

Jane Powertrack 360 Rebel Travel System - I lived in Barcelona when we bought the 360 & after looking at all other types & styles the 360 was by far the best option & we've got no real doubts about the pram apart from washing it. It's the best 500 Euros weve ever spent & now we are back in England we havent found anything that beats it. If you're looking for something user-friendly, THIS is the one, just look after it!!

From the beginning, most of the things for which we bought the Jane Powertrack 360 Rebel Travel System have not worked. Handbreak, lock system for cot and baby seat etc etc. Try to return it and your left without one for a months.

Jane Powertrack 360 Rebel Travel System is an amazing pushchair just weigh up all the features available !

I found it to be a good size and of good qualitly. Everyone I have asked says its fab. I have examined and checked I have found this to offer the best quality ever.

AND REMEMBER YOUR BABY IS NOT RECOMENDED TO BE IN A CAR SEAT FOR MORE THAN 3 HOURS.
So that is why it is good to have the matrix car seat

“Jane Powertrack 360 Rebel Travel System: We are now on...”

Jane Powertrack 360 Rebel Travel System: We are now on our second Jane 360 Powertrack after having it replaced for the problems described. This second one is going back for a full refund too. We loved the idea, but unfortunately the execution of the idea is poor - severely flawed.

We have spoken to 8 other couples with the same Powertrack 360 model who have experienced similar problems, and most have had their prams exchanged. Some of us have abandoned the disk brake system disconnecting it altogether, which for an expensive pram is just wrong.

However, in Jane's defence, most of us still like the product due to its lightweight and ease of movement. We are all hoping the next model will have addressed the problems, and we will probably all expect our prams to be swopped once it comes out.

Jane Powertrack 360 Rebel Travel System: I too did my research and remain disappointed with the powertrack. I've had repeated problems with the brake system and the basket fits the raincover and not a lot else. Also, now my baby is 6 months she wants to sit up and the highest position leans back and leaves her frustrated. I would swop this for a maclaren techno any day of the week.

Jane Powertrack 360 Rebel Travel System:
The seat was so wide on this that my son could never sit up straight. the back wheels were also too far apart so that it didn't fit through the back gate. Apart from that it's a really nice buggy/ travel system. Quite cool looking too.

“Jane Powertrack 360 Rebel Travel System - I bought...”

★★★★★

written by Grainne Keogh on 23/09/2004

Jane Powertrack 360 Rebel Travel System - I bought this pushchair following long & exstensive research.
When expecting my first child, my husband had his heart set on a modern 3 wheel pushchair. I was not so sure, having previously worked for Mothercare & running a fulltime day nursery for the past 8 years, I have had some experience of 3 wheelers.
I thought they are always very heavy, usually don't have a swivel wheel, don't have multi finctions (i.e. take a car seat) & look very large & bulky.
But when I looked into things more closly, I discoverd this pushchair proved me wrong on all points.
My son is now 5 months old & I love this pushchair, which I use every day. It is a dream to push & steer. It folds very quickly & easily, it is also light enough to lift in & out of my car boot.
I have lost count of the number of people who have come up to me to compliment the pushchair & to ask where they can buy one.
My son is very comfortable in it & has been from day 1.
I would highly recommend purchasing the footmuff as it makes the pushchair cosy for a newborn, as it is rather open when baby is very small.

My only gripe with our pushchair is that the front wheel began to wobbble, but my husband fixed this by tightening a large bolt above the wheel. (You will need a large spanner or vicegripes to do this. I have since noticed other pushchairs like mine with the same problem).

Another issue I have at the moment is that the disk brake is rubbing. I am taking the pushchair back to the store tommorrow & they assure me it is a problem easliy solved. (The shop also sell & repair bicycles).
I will let you know if the problem is resloved.

“As soon as we took this Jane Powertrack 360 Rebel...”

★★★★★

written by richard8060 on 29/07/2004

As soon as we took this Jane Powertrack 360 Rebel travel system out of the box we could feel immediately the quality of the travel system. It's a well designed pushchair and so incredibly light. With the folding mechanism you have the option to remove the three quick release wheels; this takes us about fifteen seconds, which makes it very easy to place in and out of our car. It's an absolute dream to push, the 360 full swivel front wheel makes manoeuvring an effortless one handed operation, useful if like us you have a toddler holding your hand and your baby in the pushchair. Climbing up and down pavements is easy due to the well distributed balance lay out. For going down hills you have a disk brake (the lever is on the handle) at first I thought this was an unnecessary gimmick, though when you actually put this into practice you realise its full usefulness (airports use similar devices with their trolleys).

The ride is smooth and quiet for the baby, no rattling noises from the wheels as with our other pushchair. It feels very sturdy, the bearings and pneumatic tyres do an excellent job, this is truly an excellent quality travel system.

The handle is adjustable which makes sense, (Us humans come in many different heights)
Thus enabling you to adjust the handle to your desired comfortable position.

Taking this pushchair shopping is okay, though don't expect to put many items in the basket, it is quite small compared to the Graco we had previously (the Graco was like a wheel barrow, the shopping basket was huge). Though it does have a twin pocket in the hood for small items (mobile phone, packet of wipes etc.) The bottom basket we use to carry the rain cover and one carrier bag and the basket is full!

As with most travel systems, removing the car seat from the pushchair and placing into your car is very simple, just press the two release buttons, then place the seat into your car without disturbing your baby (The Rebel car seat is very light, this definitely makes it easier, we were used to our other baby seat being quite heavy)

Folding the pushchair requires a two handed operation, considering this uses lightweight materials, and has a state of the art design, maybe the next model will have more practical folding solutions like other manufactures pushchairs. (I think the manufactures learn from one another) Let's wait and see

If we could give feed back to the manufacture, we think people would benefit from a larger shopping basket and also it would be convenient rather than locking the swivel wheel (bending down to the front and operating the lock switch) It would be nice to have the switch on the handle and also a one handed folding operation would be more convenient..

I hope this review is useful to you, I have used this site so many times to read realistic comments on almost everything before buying, so it makes a change for me to actually write a review Have to go, babies screaming and my 3 year old is throwing apples over my neighbour's garden Phew!
