Do Not Go To This Hotel. The Rooms Absolutely Stun
DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. The rooms absolutely stunk, they weren't cleaned often. The only time my bed sheets were changed is when something was spilt on them. There is no air conditioning and they make you rent out a fan, in which its cheaper to walk 2 minutes up the road and buy one yourself. We paid extra for two balcony rooms and we got bottom floor room located right next to a cleaning cupboard which smelt disgusting. My friend had 200 euros stolen out of his wallet on top of his suitcase whilst we were out. The security guard does have a taser gun but as long as you are fine with him, he will be fine with you. The hotel overall is just not a clean place to stay. It was advertised as having breakfast, but having a piece of toast and tea or coffee is hardly a breakfast to me. The only good thing I can say about the hotel is the location right next to the beach. Just as a reminder, they take 50 euros deposit off each of you incase anything is broken in the room.

I Wouldn't Recommend Hotel Gramatikakis. Although
I wouldn't recommend Hotel Gramatikakis. Although it is a fantastic location im sure its possible to find a higher quality hotel in a similair are for roughly the same price. However, if you dont care for hygeine and just want to party, then this is ideal.

Will deffinatley be going back very soon!! Its right on the beach! Its exactly what you need if your young and lively because its minutes away from the nightlife, so if you get too drunk its certainly not that far to walk back!
Its also on the beach! Our balcony overlooked the whole beach front so you could watch the sunset ect!

Please Do Not Look At The Bad Reviews And Worry Yo
Please do not look at the bad reviews and worry yourself, its a fantastic hotel, with fantastic staff in a fantastic place. Some other reviews make this out to be a bad hotel, so let me clear up some myths about this hotel;
The maids come every day and they don't steal, whoever claims they come once in 2 weeks etc. are just lying
It is literally 1 minute walk to the nearest club, and about 6 minutes to the end of the strip, not 15 minutes, that is just completely untrue.
The rooms are basic, they are not dirty, we had 8 rooms between us, all of the locks worked fine, we all had fans if we wanted them.
It is the hotel bar, then stairs, and you're on the beach, it's that close.
Everyone I knew loved the food from the bar, the free breakfast isn't fantastic, but the food is cheap and great in general.

The Hotel Gramatikakis Location Is Totally Awesome
The Hotel Gramatikakis location is totally awesome! Bar open all night, everyone congrigates there at the end of the night. Located at the bottom of the strip so perfect place to start your night out. You can spend your days on the beach or by the pool because they are literally 10 metres from each other.

When I First Read Reviews About Hotel Gramatikakis
When I first read reviews about Hotel Gramatikakis I thought the worst and then when I arrived I thought 'I wanna go home!!' But by the second night we'd completely settled in. The men behind the bar are the nicest people ever. Even though my mate got slightly electrocuted within an hour of being there it added to the laugh. I would definitely go back next year even if the breakfasts are disgusting. If you like your sleep don't stay here, you'll be up all night!

When I Read Some Of The Reviews About The Hotel, I
When I read some of the reviews about the hotel, I started to panic that we were going to end up in a dump, but after the initial shock of how basic the rooms were, I started to calm down! Fair enough, I will agree, the rooms are basic but they are cleaned everyday, and you can hire fans, or buy them in one of the shops up the road, for about 20 euros! Not that bad! The Location is what you pay for, and there is a 24 hour bar at the hotel which serves great food! The man behind the bar was a top bloke! It takes a couple of minutes to get to the clubs! Although, the better ones are further up the road, but you've got some lovely places to eat right near the hotel, like the Red Lion! Great food, like an english pub! Also the owner of the hotel also owns a bar called Mambo, where you get free drinks and shots if your satying at the hotel, plus it plays cheesy music like ghostbusters, which was such a laugh! It is just past Camelot and opposite Factory and Liquid! I have to say, that if I did go back to Malia, I probably would stay there again! I didn't trust getting a safety deposit box though, so I kept my money with me! Also if you decide to go for a late night swim in the sea, be careful, as two of my friends had their wallets stolen off the beach, and also one of their trainers lol! Appartently it happens all the time! So be Careful! But All in all great place to stay! Oh yes... The pool is very small, and the slide is never open! But it doesn't really matter as you have got the beach 2 seconds away, with water sports, and also a little island you can swim out to! Brilliant!
The Only Good Thing About Hotel Gramatikakis Is Th
The only good thing about Hotel Gramatikakis is that is on the beach. it was a 10-15 minute walk from the nightlife which in the freestyle brochure said was a lot closer. The rooms were really dirty and were also tiny with only 2 beds that you nearly fell over when you walked in the room. The doors to the rooms didn't lock properly and would open at the slightest touch, which isn't very good for 2 young girls on there own. We paid to go bed & breakfast which was a waste of money as we ended up having to go other places for breakfast as the breakfast consisted of a stale bread roll and warm orange juice. When we went it was the end of July beginning of august so it was really hot, we knew that the hotel didn't have air conditioning but that they was fans available to hire, when we asked about them they said they was only 6 and that they were all out so that we couldn't have one. I thought malia was a lovely place and I'm going back this summer but I would never stay at the gramatikakis again!!
The gramatikisis is not as bad as this person says. Yes the rooms are very basic but this also reflects in the price you pay. It is about a 5 minute walk from the night life, i dont know where this person got 15 minuets from! IT has the most beautiful views and sunsets like you have never seen. The rooms have never been dirty all 4 times ive stayed there. The staff are very friendly and willing to help out. This hotel is probably not suited fo familys but for young girls and guys its perfect, right on the beach, close to all nightlife and resturants! Malia is definitly worth visiting!! Have fun.......
