To tell the truth, the most terrible cleaning product I have ever had. Once I made a mistake and bought this. It was turned to be terrible. It did not clean anything. Just waste of time and money.

- came with en electric fault: short circuit of a live line to chassis. - plastic housing shrinks and warps over time - worst of all: the pressure housing rusted inside and leaked. One could pour out rust, no pressure was built up and steam came out of the housing on all sides. Scrap

Had a powerfully awesome SteamFast SF275 for something like 13 years and loved almost everything about it. When it when to poop (some electrical short) got a SteamBuggy (As Seen On TV) from my grandmother. Thought it would help my girls get back to steaming the floors. Excitedly got it home, filled the tank, applied attachments, and plugged it in. What the heck I and the girls thought when it started spitting out water squirts. The darned thing has not pressure relase button. It just heats up steam and starts spitting it out. Definately gets the floor wet. The SteamFast builds up pressure and a light goes out when it is built up enough to release steam after the pressure release button is depressed. Tried and tried to find a way to adapt the hose and attachments from the SteamFast to the steam buggy with no luck. Finally ordered anothre SteamFast SF 275 for less than $100.00 + $12 for two more microfibre mop attachments - about $10 using a coupon code I found easily on-line + tax which brought the total to a bit over $100.00. I will bring the steam buggy to a friend and see if he can adapt the hose to fit and/or just give it to him so he can adapt it for himself or sell it. Sh, this SteamBuggy is an As Seen On TV piece of it and a waste of money. Spend some more money and get an awesome piece of machinery such as the SteamFast that will last a long time and I suggest you get the regular SF275 rather than the McCollough professional as it seems the only real difference is the pro has a 10 ft hose rather than a 6.8 (I think) just do not want the longer hose as the further the steam has to travel the cooler it gets before it hits the floor, shower, motor engine, window, or whatever you are cleaning.

Bought a Steam buggy after seeing it advertised on a shopping channel.
In fact it does not achieve half of what it is advertised to do.
Was very disappointed with this product,
On the shopping channel it shows the gunk flowing out of a sink joint, no it actually white stains and takes the shine off stainless steel, will not touch a toilet as advertised, maybe the porcelain cools the steam too fast for it to work.
Cleaning the floor needs a mop after you use the steam buggy, it is good at leaving pools of water on the floor, just use your mop it's quicker and cleaner.
There are a lot of cheaper and more effective steamers on the market,,, buy one of those and save yourself money and cleaning time.

I use my unit to clean almost everything, especially things that need sterilization. I sometimes forget how to use this unit, but I pop open the manual and I am good to go. If you ever lose your manual, you can get a new
one from http://userguides.50webs.com/manual_steam_buggy_ek8005.htm

I have had my Steam Buggy for about 10 years... she's wonderful...still cleaning as if she were brand new....don't know what I would do without "steamy"...she's a life saver. I would recommend her to everyone.

We have over 3200 sq. ft worth of tile. For the money this is the best economical buy we have made. Steam Buggy makes fast work of getting the grout cleaned up after our 4 dogs go swimming.

I found this review very helpful because...it was simple, direct and gave me the information I wanted i.e. no spare parts available!! Sorry but however good a machine may be, if I can't get spares, it's not worth the expenditure - I am NOT a fan of built-in obsolescence.

Strenghts are its power of steam. Weaknesses, no on off switch. Once you start you can't be interrupted until it's done. With kids thats difficult. Impossible to get replacement parts for it. Little service available.

Short life span on this Steam Buggy (in my case 5 months of once a week use) makes me not recommend this. I tried to repair hose but it is too perished and no parts available.

The steam buggy goes bad too soon I think. It's not worth a penny if the problem cannot be solved. I only used a few times before it went bad. The steam escaped around the screw top and could not used after a few times.

I would not recommend the Steam Buddy. They charge you double for shipping and the product didn't work well at all. They also sent me a used one, not new.

a good basic easy to use steam cleaner. No fussy bits so fill and go

I don't think you'll find a superior bird-cage cleaner, steam is the way to go. For messes with sticky residue it's a life saver. It cuts through grease on a stove, it's just not as useful for the bathroom. Steam is good for removing grime, but it won't remove stains. Sometimes it feels like you are just getting started when it runs out of steam. You then sit down to relax, and just when you feel relaxed it's ready to work again.

I think the higher end model of the Steam Buggy steam cleaner might be a little more to my liking, but I doubt I will buy it. The Steam Buggy seems to work pretty well for the first couple of years, but it is time consuming when using it. It gets gets scale build-up in the tank, and eventually that plugs the output to the handle. It's made of cheap of materials, and it should be a little more heavy duty.

I ordered a Steam Buggy after seeing an excellent demonstration on one of the cable shopping channels whilst surfing late night TV. It was featured cutting through the limescale on the shower door, stripping off the thick oozy burnt on residue from the BBQ, bringing the oven and hob back to near new condition etc. Wow I thought, got to have one of those for the missus, she'll be so chuffed that all those grim jobs can be made such light work of.
When it finally arrived, it was such a disappointment. It wouldn't clean anything. I tried the tests that were shown on TV, nothing. I even tried it on a normal dirty plate, it wouldn't even handle that. The only thing it was any good at was putting water on to the hard to reach parts of the windows. I didn't try the furniture cleaning options, as I was so unimpressed with the other stuff. I even put my hand in front of the steam jet to see (don't try this) if it was hot, it wasn't particularly. I don't know if this unit was faulty, but it certainly wouldn't clean anything.
The only consulation was that it took so long to arrive and I complained so hard that I eventually got it for free.
