Pipex Probably the worst provider of any service that I have had the misfortune to have to deal with in my forty years of dealing with company customer services departments. In fact Pipex do not have a customer service strategy of any kind. I was with Pipex, they bought out homecall, and became Pipex Homecall and then made my broadband terrible, I had constant cut outs and broadband speed issues, it was slower that the old dial up alot of the time, when I tried to complain about it, I spent most of my time trying to get through to their customer service line which cost me a fortune, none of their staff could seem to help me, and the helpdesk is poor, and to top that they put my existing contract of £6.50 for broadband up to £15.99… Read Full Review

“Have a constant hissing and crackling on my telephone...”

Have a constant hissing and crackling on my telephone line. I have had numerous phone calls to customer service in India. They have run numerous tests on my line and everytime tell me their is no fault. I have no broadband connection and basically cannot use the phone either. They have agreed to credit my account for both services for the month that I have had no service. I was sent a new router after speaking with an engineer who ran tests. i had the exactly same experience and even worse was i waste money to bought a new router which that think was the router fault but actually was not the router matter. with no internet connetion for over a months and i finally decided to change to orange a few days ago, still waiting for orange to set up everything and hope orange doesn't let me down.
<br/>pipex just a nightmare !

Been with Pipex for over 10 years now. It used to provide a fast, reliable and sensibly priced service.
Since TalkTalk took over the (8MB) rate has dropped to less than 2MB. They refuse to send a paper bill and the online billing will not allow the user to log on.
Customer support is an utter joke requiring a separate registration process and log on just to contact them.

I requested that my account with Pipex be cancelled because I was no longer satisfied with the 'lack of service' I was paying for.
I cancelled on the 17th of November 20010 ,and since I have charged for my monthly bill this year!

Utter dross. Use to be an excellent service when it was Bulldog. Now the service is patchy and unreliable and has a habit of cutting out for days on end. When you phone customer services they try to fob yo off with all sorts of rubbish and never return calls when they say they will. If you are with them the do as i am going to - cancel. My 86 year old father-in-law started having problems with his phone line on the 6th December. He reported it straight away, and was then told two days later that they couldn't contact him because his line was out of order! When it works its slow
When it doesnt their customer support is awful. Currently sill offline after almost a week of frustrating phone calls and broken promises.
Last time this happened it was down to a planned outahe that stopped our service for over one week, of course no one at customer support knew.

I have had nothing but trouble since Pipex took over my broadband service. I was left for 2 weeks without a landline connection, followed by 10 days without broadband. Their Customer Services in INDIA are useless. The best that can be said is that they are usually polite. I have had money taken from my account that was supposed to be a refund and it took 3 months for them to put this right. For the last 7 weeks or so we have not been able to receive the 1571 callminder service. The Pipex call centre in India was unable to give any idea as to when it will be restored and told me that all Pipex customers in the U.K. have the same problem.

I have had problems with my phone and broadband since pipex took over bulldog! increasingly so over the last 3 months, where I have had no Broadband at all- I have sent e-mails and been on the phone 100's of times, where you go through a lengthy recorded message (5p per minute) to be told that they are 'experiencing unusually high call volumes' then they end the call. “I finished with Pipex in April and was told I was due...”

I finished with Pipex in April and was told I was due for a refund of £4.08 as my account was closed mid month.
It is now the 4th October and despite numerous e mails to them ( I refuse to ring them on an 0871 number ) I am still waiting for my refund and for them to close my account.

They seemed a good company until they managed to lose all my emails.

Initially they had informed they carried back ups, but then it turned out they had lost them too.
