Like most of the other reviewers have used this product for 30 years (Nice' n easy medium warm auburn, little blue bottle) and loved everything about it. Always had great comments about condition and colour. Loved it. I have now had to try the new formula as have exhausted all available supplies of the old one. I don't like it at all and neither does my hair. The smell is strong and unpleasant and can still smell it 4/5 days later. I cannot style my hair as I could with the old formula as my hair feels lank and heavy and sadly will be trying to find another brand to use. The only chance this product (Nice'n easy creme formula) has is that it starts to be used by new customers that have never used the original and have nothing to compare too but sadly for the many of us that kept our locks looking and feeling great with the old formula we shall be moving on to other brands. Please, please listen to all the other reviews about this new formula, we can't all be wrong, and consider going back to the original formula (Blue bottle + Ammonia). PLEASE.

I have used nice n easy for years without a problem. Since it has changed it’s solution, I have had terrible scalp sores etc will never use again now.

Good product; used light brown. Like the colour outcome. Formula a little runny; ok. Just need to be very careful re drips. Quite a strong smell, not unpleasant but strong. Good value.

I have always used nice and easy and even my hairdresser used to comment on my hair and said it really is very good. I have tried 9a and 9b and they have both darkened my hair to a horrible muddy shade. I will never use it again and will tell everyone that asks not to use these products.

I used Clairol Nice and Easy for about 20 years and loved it. Now they have changed the formula I am looking for something else. I have tried 3 of the new blondes and all leave my hair mousy brown, and very dry and straw like. Shame on you Clairol. Looking at all the other reviews on different sites, you will be losing at least 95% of your loyal customers! Wish I could give it zero stars as it doesn’t deserve any more!

I'm honestly surprised to see so many negative reviews. Then again I might just be lucky. Whenever I use Nice N Easy it always turns out the right colour, and my hair feels nourished. Normally I buy Medium Golden Brown and it gives lovely warm tones to my hair.

I've been using Clairol's Nice and Easy Light Golden Brown for a number of years. The "new formula" that was available from 2019 to just recently discontinued with the attractive cut-off panel box packaging in golden letters was awesome. There was no mess, it was much more gentle than the previous version that was around until 2018. It didn't color my skin around the edges of my hair line. And the smell was less. My hair always felt light and soft after use of the conditioner. So when I purchased the "new formula" in "new packaging". I wasn't even warned it was a new formula. I was told it's the same great Clairol Nice and Easy but just in a different box design. Which was incorrect. The color was darker, the chemicals much harsher and more pronounced, smelly, the product is messy. Even with using the conditioner my hair was dried out. Like the difference in formula is HUGE and completely on the negative side. Did you ever test the new formula first? Even the packaging of the "new" formula sucks. For me the newly released square box design packaged Clairol Nice and Easy Light Golden Brown is almost exactly the same as the formula that preceded the previous one, i.e. also a square box packaging and that ended in 2018. That formula also was very harsh, and I remember at the time finding reviews at Amazon that said that as well. Something is VERY off with your "new" formula, which to me is an "old" formula being revisited and even worse than that old formula. I'll now have to look for another brand for sure.

I have been using Nice'nEasy for years long before all the numbers were changed. I decided as I was getting older I should change to a lighter blonde. I have been using 9A for a few months and am pleased with the results. I usually buy 2 at a time as they are cheaper. I had 1 left and used it last night. It is nowhere near the colour on the box , Light Ash Blonde, and is almost a brown colour. Is it possible the different shades could have been mixed up? This was most disappointing as I have always been satisfied before.I have given 2 stars as I hope someone from the office will read it and answer my questions.

I usually use the older brand Medium Ash Blonde but could not find it on the shelf and was told the packing changed well the packing did not only change the whole formula changed where I was a med ash I am now Brown I am most disappointed and would like to know what Coty is going to do about it Is also stung my scalp and face where it touched my skin which the previous formulas did not Also there are no highlights as the previous formula PLEASE RE INTRODUCE THE PREVIOUS FORMULA WITH THE BLUE PLASTIC BOTTLE LIQUID INSIDE

The new Nice and Easy colours do not work! I have used this product for 20 years and always happy with the results but now, the colour does not cover the dark roots or cover the grey. What has happened ? I will now be looked fir a new product like the rest of those who've complained.

I agree, used nice n easy colour enhancer 6-8 washes out temporary colour since 80's. my hair looked thicker, shiner and covered my greys, one bottle no mixing chemicals, nothing like it now, and the temporary 24 washes dry out my hair and makes my scalp itch, however Clairol US, do a temporary root cover but not in U.K. Clariol listen up, I WILL not buy your temporary 24 washes its not the same, so bring back the 6-8 washes or give the ingredients to another organisation who will sell it!!!

I have been using Clairol Nice N Easy 9B - Light Blonde for years. However, since the new formula change, it stings my scalp. But the most worrying thing is that it has damaged my hair. Prior to the change my hair was thick and strong and now it is thin and breaking. I continued to use the product and kept asking my hairdresser what the matter was and then it dawned on us that it was the hair colour. I will definitely not use the product again, but more importantly - how do I get my hair back to being healthy?

It has done exactly the same to mine too.....gutted as like you, I have used the same one for years and now my shoulder length hair is all snapped off and dry as straw! Why change a formula that worked?!!

Fully agree with this review and Forests' comments. Been using the golden red colour for years and years and it's been amazing but my hair has turned into a blonde, porous, dried up mess and no amount of conditioning treatments work. Totally gutted...what did they do to the original formula and who tested & approved this one?

Brown/black colours are ok, though they sometimes come out a little darker or lighter than expected. Blonde colours are rubbish! They never come out the shade you want them to. They either don't work, turn your hair ash or turn you hair ginger! They're tricky.

I have used this product for years, lightest ash blonde. However since the change in formula it fades very rapidly and does not cover grey as before. Will be trying new brands.

Used nice and easy for 20 years used light beige blonde and always got compliments on how natural it looked.Used your new colour 10B extra beige blonde and each time my hair colour is very pale blonde nothing like the old Colour why did you change it? Now I don't know what to do or use the colour Now is not for me.If you can advise how to get my old colour O would Appreciate. After all these years don't want to change product but may have to. I like the new smell and the white contents but would welcome my the old one Back to have my old colour. Your new colour 10B Extra light Beige Blonde is the one I have used.

I used 88 Natural Blonde. The smell is dreadful. It did not cover my grey hair well. Worst of all ... my hair felt sticky after rinsing and conditioning, like I had poured glue on to my hair. After two more shampoos my hair felt like straw and still sticky. What a HORRIBLE product. I hate the way the containers are not sealed and can easily be tampered with. I am sure the blue colourant had been tampered with to make my hair feel so bad. Perhaps some clown in the factory thought it would be funny to pour some glue in with the colourant. I will NEVER use this product again.

Naturally my hair is a dark greyish brown. Very unfortunate as I am only in my 20's. Dyed it a medium brown last year and it turned almost black. Eventually it settled down and turned a medium-dark brown. My hair has grown out this year and returned to its natural colour. I am about to dye it natural black (2). I hope it won't turn too dark.

Wanted a light golden brown colour so bought Light Golden Brown. It's turned out to be the darkest, flat brown colour I've ever had, no tones whatsoever. It looks ridiculous and will take ages to lighten. Would not recommend.

I've used Clairol semi-permanent colour in Beige Blonde, for several years, however last time I used it my light blonde/grey hair turned pink - a few days before my son's wedding! It did tone with my accessories (!) but I got some odd comments. One month later it is still pink and has only toned down a bit. I cannot find any way to contact Clairol UK to complain. Very disappointing that I won't be able to use something I've relied on for so long.

I have used #108 (or equivalent) for the past 25 years. Through the years I have noticed some formula but they were an improvement. Recently I noticed a package change and inside instruction change when I use the product it no longer completely covered the grey, norleft my hair with a shine. W

I have been using original formula for around 20 yea4s and loved it. When they brought out new cream formula in 2019, I didn't buy it, due to negative reviews. I went to around all the stores and bought heaps at a time to last me. When I went to buy more in November, no one had any but I was told it was back in new packaging but same formula as original. Have used it twice and both times my roots are darker than usual and colour doesn't last as long plus my hair is very dry. I use 8A and only do my grey roots. Very disappointed. Customer service based in Asia and had problems with advice.
