Christina Apartments Sidari

Apartment are right next to the beach and easy to walk in town down the beach and is safer than walking down the road. Plenty of bars and night life nearby. All the staff at the apartments were grate and very helpful, would recommend these apartments to anyone.

According to to their website, they mention a free safety deposit boxes. I went to put our passports in only to be told by the owner that these deposit boxes are for their customers, I explained that WE ARE staying at the apartment and he insisted that their customers are the people who drink at their bar, eat at their restaurant and change money, he didn't consider staying at their apartment as THEIR customers.

The issue for me wasn't that I had to pay for the safety deposit box, it was that our booking was only for the room, the swimming pool was part of the pool bar (clear signs of no food or drink unless purchased at the bar), I'm on my own with 2 children in 37 degree heat trying to convince the owner that we're customers, that we're meant to use the swimming pool as part of our booking.

Things went from bad to worse, couldn't wait to get out of there didn't wait until our transfer time, booked a hotel in Corfu, took the kids, luggage and left.

We were on a cheap holiday with Thomsons and booked a two bedroom apartment. Christina Apartments was spacious and well equipped with plenty of wardrobe space. We paid extra with Thomsons and kept the apartment to 6pm.

The bar was rebuilt about three years ago and is very modern and the food served was good and not pricey.

Christina apartments are at the start of Sidari. It is a bit of a walk into the centre but as sidari is a bit spread out and as you start walking into sidari there are restaurants and bars close bye the first one was Salt and Peper which was exellent and the Black Horse bar across the road was very friendly.

Sidari as something for every ones taste and is very picturest in places.

Our holiday started really well, the welcome we received at the Christina Apartments bar was great. This was until the evening before we were due to come home when the staff started to show their true colours (they couldnt care less about you as long as you are spending money at their bar!)

The day we left the apts we had to vacate the room by midday, which is fair enough and very common but we were disgusted when we were rudely shouted at for putting our cases safely in a friends room, which would have only been for 3 hours. We were told if we wished to do so then we would have to pay 15 euros. Everything is purely about taking your money at these apts!

The resort is very, very British. Its ok for young groups of single people but not much else really. The only good quality and good value for money place we found to eat was Pizzeria Romana, a family run business where the Greeks eat, well worth a try!

Look out for the Cockney guy that does the quiz at the bar in the apts, he will sponge drinks off you and claim only to have 1 fag left every day so that somebody will give him some-very cheeky if you ask me!!!

I could go on forever but I wont. The apts and the resort are not really worth the money even if you book a late deal and Im usually very easy to please.
