Worst Gym Experience Kiss Gym Acton
I was a member of this gym for months and first few months after opening it was good until I found a sanitary towel in one of the shower cubicles. The cleanliness level for the toilets and showers is disgusting. Before cancelling my membership I had items of clothing stolen in the ladies changing room whilst I was working out. I was shocked went and pressed the emergency points in the gym as it was unstaffed by that time, one guy came on the intercom and said he couldn't do anything because they are not based in London. The police turned up but couldn't even get in the gym because of the keycode system. No member of staff turned up and sadly my car keys were in the stolen clothes, I spent hours in the cold waiting for the recovery guy to try and open my car so I could get my house keys that I had fortunately left in the car. Loads of people in the gym came to me telling me it was a regular occurance people had stuff nicked all the time from the changing rooms. One guy was telling me they unlocked his locker took his iphone and wallet and left everything else, and locked it back. I've never seen a sign warning people about theft or even an email from management so you can imagine my shock. One lady told me when she got back in the changing rooms after her workout her coat was missing, and a girl in there told her a member of staff had removed it, she later collected it and was told by that member of staff that they do this a lot for safety as they had been so many incidents of theft. I phoned the gym's head office the following morning and the woman I spoke to immediately went defensive and I didn't get a single apology from her. I told her the police would like the cctv footage, she said they would send this on. The police made several requests for this footage with no joy eventually they went to the gym and demanded it. I sent emails to the gym with my times of arrival and departure at the gym, they made sure they sent the police CCTV footage which showed my arrival but was missing loads of footage for when I returned to the changing room after my workout , so in essence it was incomplete footage and they deleted the rest. You want to use this gym after you read this, that's your decision but at least you are better informed than I was, do not leave anything in the changing room.

After Being A Life Long Fan Of Kiss....about 38 Ye
After being a life long fan of Kiss....about 38 years, I must say I used to love the original line up and was so disapointed to see Ace & Peter leave for the second time, however, from the when they got back into their high heels the Sonic Boom tour was going to be a tour, as good as it could get.
from the very begining.....the black KISS LOGO banner draped from ceiling to bottom of the stage.....then ....alright Manchester....you wanted the best...you got the best...the hottest band in the world...KKKKIIIIISSSSSSS.....booom, fire,.... flares, just awsome from start to finish, I was extremly impressed with Tommy Taher exact guitar sound just like Ace's and eric's pounding the skins to a fine art, overall a definate 10 / out of 10

Poison Has Been Coming To Pittsburgh For The Past
Poison has been coming to Pittsburgh for the past 4 or 5 years straight, and it has always been my favorite concert of the summer. This year, somehow, they were able to hook up with KISS. Wow, what a great combination.
Gene Simmons of KISS, is one of the most educated rock stars in the business when it comes to marketing and making money. The KISS brand is on everything from dolls to coffins. He asked Nikki Sixx, and his new band "Brides of Destruction", which also features Tracii Guns of "L.A. Guns", to be the opening act for this show. Nikki, who is the bassist for "Motley Crue", answered "Poison - they don't rock, I am not going to be part of anything that Poison is involved with". Gene then said to him, "If Poison doesn't ROCK, why would I have asked them to tour with KISS, in the first place"? I don't know if it was stupidity, or pride - but, due to the decision of Nikki Sixx, a possible 3 band show was reduced to a 2 band show.
This version of the band KISS is not the original line up. Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, the original bassist and singer were joined by two replacements. However, I did not notice much difference. The band did not play the song "Beth", as Peter Criss was not on drums - and he normally sings that song.
The band performed in full makeup, and stage outfits. Their energy level was turned up to full for this show.
Some of the songs they played were: "I love it Loud", "Love Gun", "Lick it Up", "Detroit Rock City", "I was made for Loving You", etc. The encore was made up of, "God Gave Rock and Roll to You", and "Rock and Roll all Night".
In one part of the show, Paul Stanley with help of some metal contraption was able to fly over the crowd. Gene Simmons appeared at one point with a lot of white smoke around him, and when it cleared he was pouring blood out of his mouth. Very nice!
Gene also rode this hydraulic lift up 20 or 30 feet or so to play his part for the encore. This has been a staple of their shows for at least the past 5 years.
I mentioned before how close my fried and I were sitting to the stage. At one point, two girls showed up that didn't have tickets, but were allowed to rush the stage, anyway. They were definitely 'dressed to impress'. Both were wearing signature black outfits, with not much left to the imagination. Before the show was over, they had been given, KISS 'backstage passes'. Yes, ladies and gentlemen - the senior members of this band are 50 or older, but the "backstage pass" for pretty girls still continues as a tradition...
Before KISS played, "God Gave Rock and Roll to You", Paul Stanley gave a very inspired speech about those of us lucky enough to live in the USA. He spoke of other people in the world being jealous of us, and that we live in the greatest nation in the entire world. He stressed our daily freedoms, and other rights that we have, that many don't. It was unexpected, but very powerful on this 4th of July concert.
As their last song was playing, the Pavilion set off fireworks outside, and it was a very nice visual to go with the end of an INCREDIBLE two band show.
