I like to go out with my wife, and this is one the most favourite places we like to eat. The food is absolutely delicious. Special thanks to the nice staff, who are always polite and and excellent professionals. I have a great pleasure to eat here, and I can proudly recommend this plase as a good place to go out

Strange get up, very tackey decor, worst thing found hair in food, in two different plates, staff totally denied it, made a scene in the restaurant, then the chef came up, also denied it, then told us we were causing trouble and it was bulls***, quote, bulls***. We also had to wait an hour before being served. Then food was not up to parr, THEN, some did not come. Disgraceful, rude, rubbish food. Would be 0 stars but have to give at least one.

In terms of Italian food Monna Lisa is as authentic as they come. The food is full of flavour and there is a plenty to choose from, whether its meats, fish or vegetarian. I was also impressed with the fact that they seem to be the only Italian Restaurant in Luton who serves Halal food which means for once I was able to select meat dish rather than sticking to pasta or fish.
I will definitely be going back and recommend the restaurant to friends and family.

Monna Lisa - My favourite food is italian. I have eaten here twice and can honestly say we were impressd with the food on both occasions. I would happily go back there. In fact, I tried to last night but unfortunately they were fully booked, so we went to another local italian instead.

Monna Lisa - I love Italian food, and I had high hopes for this traditional-looking restaurant. The prices were comparable to other Italian restaurants in the area.
Starters:
Asparagi tricolore (asparagus with bechamel and tomato sauces)
Calamari
Main:
Spaghetti with clams in tomato sauce
Veal escalope with proscuitto
The asparagus was so over-cooked I could have mashed it, and the sauces were very sparse. The calamari was a little chewy but not too bad.
The spaghetti was unexceptional but reasonable. The veal looked like a Findus Crispy Pancake and tasted like something out of a packet. If it was proscuitto, it didn't taste like it.
The house white wine was decent enough, but we didn't risk the coffee.
We missed the finer details of Italian dining - instead of olive oil or balsamic vinegar with our bread we were given butter portions (straight from the fridge, and unspreadable) The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, but I can only assume the chef has never eaten in an Italian restaurant, let alone been to Italy.
