“Cube was one weird film! ”

★★☆☆☆

Cube was one weird film!
One of them movies that you had to keep watching because you thought somwhere it would get better- but it doesn't.
The only thing it did was leave me thinking what was the point of the film? What was the plot?
And did I really sit and watch it all!
It was rented from blockbuster by my expartner who actually said somebody had written on the back of the shop copy "this film is **** don't get it"
I wouldn't recommend it

Bobbracegirdle's Response to Lou's Review

Just watched it for the first time and I thought it was fabulous. My natural human disappointment was at the end to have no explanation for the purpose of the Cube. What was good was the fact that the autistic character alone "escapes".

Not to get the film tells you something about the reviewer not the film itself. The film is about different human reactions to a situation. It is made better by the complex and satisfying nature of the traps, but, more importantly, the rooms moving about internally - a sort of giant Rubik's Cube!
This film is really good.

The Cube is a Cult Sci/Fi and Horror movie (no monsters though) which was cleverly shot in one location. The film starts with 6 total strangers locked in a trap laden cube, and their only hope of excape is each other.
