Would not buy a Sony Ericsson HBH-600 again even the cheaper ones are a lot better. Keeps losing the signal easily and obviously connection I actually have the older looking model.

This Sony Ericsson HBH-600 ear peace is very uncomfortable. After a few hours driving, my ear starts to feel sour. I could not use this ear peace for a long period of time. After a few weeks putting it on & off my ear, the plastic that holds o ring comes lose & starts to fall off the piece. I had to use some Super Glue so it's stays in place not moving up or down. Other points are the battery life is very poor and I always have to charge it on my car charger because if I receive a call more than 25 minutes long, the battery goes dead. If you leave it on stand-by for more than 20 hours, you won't find charge! I don't find it a good ear peace for the businessman or taxi driver.

It's not a bad ear piece but I wish it was more comfortable. The sound is great and I never got anyone complaining to me about not hearing me while driving, so that's a fair comment about the ear peace.

written by wburdine on 12/12/2005

The Sprint store only sold 2 Bluetooth headsets. They would only sell the Sony Ericsson HBH-602 for use with the Sony Treo, as the other model apparently will not work well with it.

Immediately I was unhappy with the item because of the uncomfortable fit. I was asked to try it for a week to make sure, and I am definitely returning it for that reason and more.

The earpiece does not fit into my ear, and there is no way to adjust it. As it is, the speaker does not fall into my ear canal, but hits the Antihelices (the hard cartilage ridge of the outer ear), making it uncomfortable. The piece that wraps around the ear should be able to be adjustable or moldable to make it longer, or longer pieces should be available.

The microphone is not as clear as it should be. There is definitely loss of quality with a flat compressed digital sound.

The specs say it has a 2 hour talk time. I cannot seem to talk for more than 20 minutes without it needing recharging.

The unit will beep at odd times, and there is no reason for these beeps as per the documentation supplied or the product support page.

Overall, I think the SE HBH-600 is a fine headset. I own a Sony Ericsson phone and the reason I chose this headset was because it would proclude me from having to use 2 seperate charging systems in both my home and my car. Although bluetooth technology allows interchangable brands to work with one another, I feel that duplicating charging systems is something that few people consider when purchasing a bluetooth headset, especially sales staffs.

I liked the headset. It offered everything that it claims - confort, style, ease of use. However, the headset will only last approx half an hour on a full charge, despite claims by the manufacturer of upto 4 hours talk time. It can be frustrating when you are travelling and the headset cuts off. The volume is limited, and can be sometimes difficult to hear the person at the other end if there are other noises around.
