This is not the kind of perfume that you would spritz on the way out of the door. On first impressions many would find it strong, however the heart and the base is sensually intoxicating. It's a scent that you have to build up. The skin has to be "prepared" so the perfume would last better, preferable 30mins to 1 hour after your shower as the natural oils on your skin will help retain and develop the scent better. Spritz lightly all over.

Before i tried Co Co Chanel, my friend use to buy it and loved it a lot, one day i wanted to get Perfum for my self, i went to Perfum store and thought i should try Co Co, as my friend talked about it, but for me it did not work on me at all, i hated the smell so much that i was wondering how my friend fall in love with it, it was way to strong which was so annoying , well i guess when it comes to Perfum, individual person has there own test which they like, what i like may not suit another, i like summery and fresh smell.

In my opinion, Coco is the most beautiful and wisest of all the forefront fragrances by Chanel. I wore Mademoiselle for many years and received alot of compliments, but I was never completely statisfied with it. I wear Coco now and feel 'whole'. There is no need for any other fragrances in my wardrobe. To me you can live your out your days with Chanel . There is a signature for each type of woman, at any given time in her life.

Chanel Coco lasts all day and makes you feel good. It's a classic and will never change. It's a classic! I feel special when I wear it. It lasts all day and is for any day you want. Like they say "You can't buy class". It's soooooo true!

I bought this for my wife some years ago without trying it, when it was advertised heavily. Unfortunately it is the only scent that I have come across that I actually found harsh and unpleasant. My wife liked the present (trendy, young, professional image). I usually very much enjoy scent on women, so this was quite unusual.

This perfume is real class. A unique Oriental flower with a touch of musk and citrus is how I would describe the fragrance. Suitable for any age, to be worn at any time. The fragrance is fairly long lasting, and it will last all evening for that special night out. Coco Chanel is not too heavy and overpowering. Expect to pay a little more for such exceptional class. This one is worth it. You are worth it!
If Coco Chanel were a person, she would ooze class, wearing that lovely little black dress with high heeled black court shoes, seamed stockings and gold jewelery. She would have long dark hair tied neatly up and off her face to reveal a perfect neckline and beautiful features. Her make up would be perfectly and tastefully applied to her porcelain skin, her eyes would be bright blue with white and grey eyeshadow framed by lovely long eyelashes. Her lips, perfectly formed, would be crimson red and glossy, matching her beautifully manicured nails. Here is a lady, classy, sensual and very very sexy. She turns heads wherever she goes and is not really fully aware of just how beautiful she is.
Wear this fragrance with confidence. Confident that you will not just look good, but people may comment on how lovely it is to be close to you. It will completely finish off any outfit for any occasion.

Coco by Chanel can be a staple to any woman's fragrance selection. The greater value would be in purchasing the Perfume as opposed to the eau de toilette, which has a greater concentration of alcohol and thereby diminishes the truly intoxicating affect of this alluring fragrance. This is a fragrance I would recommend for that "special" evening out and/or in cooler weather, as this is a heavier fragrance with oriental, musk and vanilla notes. Not for the faint of heart, but for the passionate. Wear it with confidence.

Chanel Coco is such a classy scent, it is very bold, and demands respect. It is one of those scents that when you wear it, it makes you feel more confident.
Many people comment when I do wear it and it's always a positive reaction. Coco should be proud of her name sake it is a fine classic!!!

I'ts nice to find a product that is as valid today, in that, Coco is such a tribute to a style icon. (Even though I rarely wear Chanel nowadays.) The impressive list of ingredients read:
Top notes : Tunisian Orange Blossom, Sicilian Mandarin.
Middle notes : Damask Rose, Oriental Jasmine, Mimosa from Provence, Ylang-Ylang from the Comoros.
Base notes : Tonka Bean from Brazil and Venezuela, Indonesian Patchouli, Somalian Opoponax.
I like the recent update to Chanel packaging even though I still prefer the classic square shaped bottles. I find myself wearing Coco more in the office situation, perhaps when I'm feeling I need a little extra boldness or a 'power' statement, when the suit and heels aren't doing it for me. I much prefer the softness of Coco Mademoiselle for everyday, but it's not nearly as long lasting as Coco. Problem solved. - Buy both!

I have been wearing Coco for over 14 years now and have never tired of it. It is spicy, warm and comforting and lasts all day.
People always comment on it, and I just love this perfume. It is a little expensive, but I think it is worth it.

Chanel Coco: As a man, I have to admit that this perfume drives me wild. After the first time I smelled this fragrance (on a previous girlfriend, about thirteen years ago) I was hooked.
At first it is a shock to the senses and quite sharp, but after the initial response you get a very sophisticated mix of exotic spices and a the musky aroma.
It is the only perfume that I can tell someone is wearing straight away whenever I enter a room, even so, the smell is not overpowering, but does seem to hang in the air and lasts very well.
My wife can put this on in the morning, when going out to a wedding for example and will not need to refresh it at all during the day.
The only drawback to this perfume is the price, which of course is typical chanel, at around £50 for a small bottle of the perfume. You can get the EDT and various soaps and creams with the fragrance at a very reasonable price though (from around £9.00 - £30.00), if you just want to try it out.
But take it from me, once you have been hooked on the aroma of this perfume, you will not mind treating your wife / girlfriend to a bottle, as soon as you can.

I have been using Coco Chanel for the past 5 years and adored the smell and I was constantly asked what perfume it was. I bought a new bottle just before Christmas and the smell has definitely changed. I am cross that I have paid £95 for a perfume that I do not like. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT, does not come close to the original smell.

So I'm not crazy then! I too am totally disappointed, I feel the formula has definitely changed, and no one is talking about it. . . I experienced this recently with another of my favorite fragrances and was able to talk with the formulator about it and was told a key element of that fragrance was no longer available so they had to change that particular fragrance. Could be the same issue with Coco. ..
Have you tried contacting Chanel about it?
