I Ride My Fz6 All Year Round And Through The Worst
I ride my FZ6 all year round and through the worst of the rain this year the Sportec M1's have been outstanding.loads of grip and the bike feels very stable.
These are the first set of Metzeler's I've had,as I've used Bridgestone BT's before,but I would recommend the M1's.

I've Had These Tyres On My Rsv1000 Mille After Cha
I've had these tyres on my RSV1000 Mille after changing from the originally fitted Dunlop D205's. I got 7,500Km from them including a great track day at Easter Creek near Sydney. Everything I wanted from a tyre. Then due to lack of availability I changed to the M1's. The road grip has been good with no surprises. They take a little to warm up before confidence in corners but I think it's only because the D205's were better here. The rear M1 is about shot with only 3,500 km on them. The front has about 30% left. Will do a track day on these will then probably look for a better mileage tyre with simmilar grip to the D205. Possibly the Michellin Pilot Power??
I only got 4,000km from these tyres. Have changed to Pirelli Diablo Corsa's. Read my review about these tyres in the Pirelli section.
I incorrectly identified the Dunlops as D205's. They were in fact D207 RR's.

Great Tyre In The Dry After Leaving Home I Have A
Great tyre in the dry after leaving home I have a roundabout 500 meters away and they grip really well when the conditions are right. They seem to be lasting me for ever which is a bit of a bad point as I can not wait to get them replaced. When returning form a long run and its cold and wet its like riding on marbles. I do a lot of riding in the winter and when its cold and wet (the joys of living in Northern Ireland) and on corners I always feel the rear start to slip. OK, so I have a ZX12 but even gentle throttle movements can have them slipping in the wet. Next time I will try the sportec M3 as I believe they are a lot better.
Strange,as mine seem fine in the wet?
Don't know if its because of a lighter bike (FZ6N)but the backs never stepped out, even on frosty mornings.

I've Had 3 Sets Of The Metzeler Sportec M1 So Far
I've had 3 sets of the Metzeler Sportec M1 so far and I can't fault them, yet.
Ride a GSXR 750 K2 with lots of modifications.
I used a pair on this bike up in the Alps, sorted!.
Around town, sorted.
Up in the lakes, riding very hard, sorted!P
They really do flatter me that's for sure.
Up the Alps and back, did 3,500 miles.
Fronts are good for 8000 miles.
If you ride really hard that can knock off a few hundred miles.

Fitted The Metzeler Sportec M1 To My '04 Gsxr1000.
Fitted the Metzeler Sportec M1 to my '04 GSXR1000. Infinitely better than the standard Bridgestones. Felt like a race tyre on the track. Will try some of the new Metzeler Racetec's on next track day to see if they're as good as everyone says they are.

Yes I Have Had About Three Pairs Of These Now On M
Yes I have had about three pairs of these now on my R1 and I can honestly say (hand touching wooden desk) that I have not had a single moment out there - even with spirited riding. I also had to use my road bike at Donnington as my track bike was poorly and even 155 miles round the national circuit failed to produce any scary moments.

I Own A 2004 Zx636r And Anyone Else Out There With
I own a 2004 ZX636R and anyone else out there with this bike will know what a nightmare the front tyre is to get. They have a standard 65 profile front and there only seems to be a handfull of different tyres to choose from which do 65s. I have tried a few, from Kawasaki fitted Pirelli to bridgestone and Dunlop, but the Metzeler Sportec M1 are by far the best. There wet weather performance is exceptional. They go from cold to hot very quick and stay heated at a standstill for quite some time. The only fault I found is that hard riding i.e hard throtle from standstill and wheelies tend to tear small chunks from tyre. Overall this is the best tyre for this bike and I will keep buying them.
Hi kwack636 I hope you read this, as I would love to pick your brains.
I to have the ZX636 54 plate. The suspension is very hard, and to be honest hard work on times.
It doesn't quite stick to the road over bumps, back wheel kicks up.. I'm just hoping really you have been through this problem and could show some light on it. I have had this bike for only 8 months. cheers for the advise on the tyres too.
