After more than 20 years of loyalty, I received a letter from Sainsbury’s bank advising me that my credit card had been cut by £1000s to a pathetic, useless £150.00. My crime was a last minute holiday and Covid upon immediate return, caused me to overlook my payment, prior to their insulting letter I had already made the missing payment in full and paid their late fee. I was advised it could be related to other loans and debts, only it wasn’t because I DON’T HAVE ANY. Disgusting and totally disrespectful customer service.

Have had Sainsbury's Credit Card now for approximately 3 years, have never missed a payment or paid late but they keep reducing my credit limit. Whilst this doesn't sound like a major problem it means that when I pay down my card to reduce my credit utilisation percentage the reduction then bumps this figure back up seriously affecting my credit score. It also means I dont know where I am with budgeting as if I pay my Sainsbury's Card down to transfer another balance across to it there is no longer enough available credit to do so. Seems they are trying to purposely push me into going over my credit limit by regularly reducing it.

The card is fine, reward points and that all OK. What is infuriating is the time it often takes to send the verification code. Often the Web checkout page has timed out before it arrives and I have to start all over again. I will sometimes just change the credit card. Others have a far better method where you can verify via the app. Occasionally it arrives quickly but more often than not is delayed and I have to ask for it to be resent. Then half an hour later they will all arrive at once. I am actually writing this now waiting for a code to arrive!

I highly recommend the Belk credit card! The card offers a variety of benefits that make it a great choice for both casual shoppers and frequent Belk customers. One of my favorite things about the card is the rewards program, which allows you to earn points for every purchase you make. These points can then be redeemed for discounts and other perks at Belk and other participating retailers. Another great feature of the Belk credit card is the exclusive perks and discounts that are available only to cardholders. For example, you can receive 20% off your first purchase when you open a new account, and you can also receive special discounts and promotions throughout the year. The card is also very user-friendly, with a simple and straightforward online account management system. I love being able to view my transactions, manage my account, and pay my bill all in one place.

I have the credit card and every now and then (1 a month) they just decline my transaction and then block my card!!! Once I was trying to purchase a ticket on BA, it took me 4 calls and 5 days to get sort it out! Then today again I was doing some shopping at Adidas and boom decline again! Terrible customer service! Avoid!

So last month we applied for joint credit card and completed online form for direct debit to pay off full amount each month. As we had not received a statement or email/text regarding a statement, I went online to find that they had added a £12 late fee for not having made a payment to the first statement. I contacted customer services and explained that I had set up a direct debit and expected that the bill would have been paid. I even had a confirmation of direct debit letter from them received two weeks prior to the first statement. Customer services however refused to waive the late fee, so long then. Two bits of plastic to be cut up and two loyal long term shoppers now going elsewhere. Well done Sainsbury's customer care, hope they all get a bonus, not :-(

Totally unprofessional. When they do answer the phone (eventually_, passed from one person to the other. I requested a change of address on several occasions, staff too impatient to await answers to security questions so I was deemed a security risk; now unable to change my address and all statements going to previous address for past 5 months. Don't know how much I owe, other people at previous address now reading about my financial details. Countless calls to Sainsburys bank, but they wont change my address. Going to financial ombudsman as I'm unable to get any details about my own account. No-one thought to ask me for a utility bill from my new address, and now I cant be bothered sending after all the phone calls. Going to financial ombudsman to intervene.

After having this card for several years I have just got off the phone trying to find out why Sainsbury's credit card are unable to authorise payments to have our food delivered. The conversation involved the security advisor asking questions about card payments going back to November last year. Apparently these items were a cause for concern. Some were regular, routine payments. I couldn't help but wonder - if Sainsbury's thought there was some sort of fraud going on- why Sainsbury's Credit Card didn't contact me. The Agent in Sainsbury's fraud office couldn't provide a reason. He would raise the issues I raised with a manager and if it happened again they would look into it. After a discussion about this he said a manager would get back to me in a few days. There is plenty of credit on the account and we were not ordering our food from Sainsburys. What do you think?

I have had this card for over 3 years, it is great for building up my nectar points, disappointing the rate can be high but so long as the full balance is repaid each month, I cant grumble at this card. Repayments are made in full via DD thus no chance of incurring any fees. Have called them once 6 months ago when I missed a DD payment due to an account switch but they refunded the charge.

I applied for a credit card for an imminent boiler replacement purchase, and as Sainsbury's were offering 28 months 0% deals I thought that would be great. I needed to make payment at the end of October and I applied on the 11/10/2016 and thought that was plenty of time to receive the card. I sent off my forms via 'signed for' service on the 17/10/2016 and it was received by them on the 18/10/2016 but by the 28/10/2016 when I called customer services they had apparently not received the application. I sent the form off again, trying my level best to stall the installation people for payment, but on the 11/11/2016 I have still not received my card. That is appalling. The whole point of applying for a credit card is that the spend on it is imminent and urgent and the cash is needed ASAP. Sainsbury's have let me down significantly and I am not happy with their service at all!!

Called 5 times tonight, couldn't get through, told they are Halifax staff and wrong number on the back of statements. Gave up trying to resolve, as I had gone £70 over a pathetic £1k limit. All other credit cards I have had allow a much higher limit. Also charging me £12 for going over. I was told previously that they will not review the limit for at least 6 months. Intend to pay off the full balance and cancel the card when I eventually get through!!

I had always paid off my balance each month which was rarely large. Last summer I did not receive statements but on holiday and out and about so forgot to check. Paid 2 late fees - despite being told they would be waived. This has now happened again - but this time they returned my payment to my bank the same day I made it, then said I had not paid. My bank say they sent it, the bank says they did not get it. Have cancelled the card - but realised this is what they want. Each time there has been an issue just after I have made large holiday payments and then paid off before the due date. Not making money out of me - no wonder the lady was quick to tell me to rip up my card!!!!!

Please stay away from this card people, judging by the reviews on here I'm not the only one who has had a bad experience with it.

After receiving a £12 late penalty fee I set up a standing order to stop it happening again. The next statement came through with another £12 late fee. Like a fool I assumed it was just a follow up letter repeating the same information. The next month the same again. I rang Sainsbury's to enquire how can I be racking up late fees when I pay much more than the minimum payment each month by standing order. Their answer 'because your payment reaches us after the cut off date.' Well that may well be for the first month but surely if my standing order is received after the cut off date for the first month then it must fall into the next months bracket and you cannot charge me £12 for that month? Answer 'No, it doesn't work like that. Paid the card off, snapped it up and I now do my weekly shop in Tesco's. Every little helps!

Collecting Nectar points is great and generally for purchases this card is fine unless you approach your limit and try to pay some of the balance off then they are hopeless! If you need to call with a problem you will be met by an automated system which takes ages and leads you round and round in circles. Eventually there is the offer of talking to an advisor but you may have to wait TWENTY+ minutes!!! after this announcement you are left with no further options but to wait or hang up and start the laborious process once again - shockingly bad. If you decide to pay your balance by debit card, which with most banks these days gives you IMMEDIATE credit, Sainsbury take THREE DAYS to clear the payment and to make the credit available. THIS IS APPALLING!! Electronic payments are instant and there is NO reason for it to take so long.

I had a card for many many years but as soon as there was fraudulent use I was left to contact the company involved and find out what happened!! Is this what I'm paying card protection services for!! Getting myself a real credit card with a real bank that does proper security checks and who will not verify payments from my account even though the details were incorrect and then expect me to sort it out !!

Have had a Sainsburys credit card for some time now but in all that time I don't think I have ever been able to log on without having to take ages on the premium rate phone line to get access. It really isn't on line banking. I get really annoyed listening to all the usual claptrap while you wait to speak to someone.

Had a nectar credit card with them for years, you get points where ever you use it and you can spend them in a number of other outlets. Never had a problem paying the bill as I pay it in full at the bank. a brilliant all round card in my view.

I have personally been using Sainsbury cards for 6 months and have never had a problem with their services, therefore quite surprised by the negative reviews here. The customer service is great and every query or issues that I have had have been resolved on time.
