I've always loved H&M when I was still wronikg in A'dam, here they are less visited maybe because there are a lot of stores who are far more cheaper than theirs. :(

I've Had This System For Over 4 Years And It Has P
I've had this system for over 4 years and it has performed faultlessly unlike one of the reviewers experiences that I've just read. When I bought it the price was pretty steep but I've certainly had my monies worth. I'm now considering upgrading but that's only because of the new HDMI stuff that's on the market. All in all I'm loathe to part with it but technology moves on.

I Bought This Model In May 2003. The Unit Worked E
I bought this model in May 2003. The unit worked excellent until end of 2004. The unit didn't work proerly and then fixed itself. Again in March 2005 the unit failed to work properly. The unit gives a message on the screen of "F61" and this means that either the speakers are not connected properly or the power supply is faulty. The unit is in the repair shop and needs 6 new amplifiers. I do not mistreat this unit and I would expect any unit to last longer than 2 years. I have also heard someone else has the exact same error code and theres has broken down within 2 years. If you by this unit you will be lucky if you see 2 years good use out of it.
I had the same error message come up after around 16 months use. I ended up paying the £75 to get it repaired as I thought it would be worth paying if it fixed the problem. Unfortunately, about a year after this was fixed, another fault has occurred with my Panasonic SC-DT100 DVD player, where the soundtrack runs slightly slower than the video, so by the end of a film they are up to 10 seconds out of sync. I find this incredibly annoying, as my parents bought a cheap player for £50 at around the same time, which is working perfectly well after 3 years.
To top all this off, I bought a Panasonic car stereo (CQ-C1300GN, see comments/review elsewhere) which has stopped working 13 months after I bought it!
I also have had one of these DT100 home cinema units, albeit for 3 years now, and it also has broken down with the error code F61. There was no warning, just one evening it decided to show the error code, and then switch itself back to standby. So much for buying a good brand name?
we had the same problem, an error code, less than two years after we bought the machine. the insurers then try to palm us off with a completely inferior model worth £50.....still trying to work this through

Having Been Bewildered By The Amount Of Affordable
Having been bewildered by the amount of affordable home cinema systems available, and after a great deal of research into buying one, I decided to go with the Panasonic SC-DT100.
I have know owned it for 8 months and can honestly say it has truly exceeded my expectations and totally enhanced my viewing of DVD's and television.
Firstly the sound is fantastic. From DVD's you really do get a blistering clear sound. The sounstage is fantastic, with no seperation noticeable. The low end rumbling of the subwoofer really packs a punch, coupled with the clarity of the midband and treble really does stand out.
Music from CD is also good, not great and certainly not on a par with a good seperates system but still pretty good.
Sound from TV is again transformed, coupled with using the features to enhance the sound really does make a huge difference.
Picture quality from DVD is again fantastic. I did have my doubts that the lack of a scart would hurt the picture quality, but going through the RGB s-video really does provide excellent crisp vibrant pictures. I've also never noticed any pixellation or picture breakup whist watching a DVD.
The looks of the system are again fantastic, with the sleek mirrored finish.
The price of the this system has come down a lot since I bought mine, so if you can get hold of one quite cheap i fully recommend it!
