The Courtyard Italian restaurant in Chelmsford is a very over-priced restaurant with low quality and very simple food (reheated oven baked new potatoes and a bowl of vegetables). The chef and owner need to visit other premium restaurants within Essex to see how they could improve their menu and quality of food.

Chelmsford, Italian, The Courtyard - Authentic receipes from the Marche region of Italy - some were the owner's grandmother's receipes! Real care is taken with the food and interesting flavours are used to great effect. Everything from fish to wild boar & ostrich on the menu, but I really like the liver . . . it's delicious!
