Wheathill is the best! I have been riding here for over two years now and have loved every minute of my time there. Unfortunately as its shutting down i will have to find a new stables however nothing will ever match my experiences at Wheathill. I wish the best of luck to everyone there and hope to see them again in the future, some day.

Unfortunately, the Riding school is closing on the 16th June, because it was sold to an American person who intends to knock it down and use the land for a housing estate, and also the land has planning permission. However, I am creating a petition to try and stop them doing this.

It's friendly but Wheathill Riding Centre is a gay school. I went for 2 years and was still on trot and my mate has a horse there and she hates it. She's taking her horse some where else.

I am an instructor, and also add that I don't work at Wheathill Riding Centre, but I have had lessons there in the past. I found the instructors at Wheathill to be very friendly, competent and also safety aware, which is what all people should be looking for when choosing a place to ride. The horses were all well mannered, happy in their work and a credit to the riding school. I have tried all of the riding schools in Liverpool, to get a feel of how to run my own yard, and I found Wheathill to be one of the best.

I have been riding at Wheathill Riding Centre for 2 years and find it an excellent school. All of the staff are helpful and the lessons cater well to all abilities. My 6 year old son recently attended an "own a pony" day. He had a fantastic day and I felt very safe leaving him there.

Wheathill is an excellent stable, and if you or a member of your family is looking to start riding I couldn't guarantee a better ride anywhere else. The staff are very helpful, and you can have a fun and enjoyable lesson whilst learning.

The Wheathill Riding Centre Knowsley - This yard is good and staff are friendly. Try not to annoy them though. The horses are great too.

The instructors at Wheathill Riding Centre in Knowsley are friendly and experienced, and always willing to help, as are the rest of the staff.
There are horses for all abilities and all types of rider.
The yard has improved a lot recently and is continuing to do so.

Wheathill Riding Centre Knowsley - There is an unpleasant atmosphere among staff. The lessons are dull and progress is slow.
The yard is generally untidy.
Toilet facilities are unhygienic.

Wheathill is a very good riding school. i have been riding just over a year an i have already learnt to jump i think you are just a lazy rider but the yard is tidy. Its a horse stable what do you expect, it to be glistening.

I disagree on all of that because I am a helper at wheathill and we are very busy and we keep the yard very clean, the staff are sometimes not happy because we are very tried doing the job, there is a lot of hard work what goes on all stables in wheathill. The lessons are not dull at all because we do everything what the lesson includes. I think you should come back to wheathill and see are changes. from worker at wheathill

I have ridden at Wheathill for almost 11 years, and I have never had a problem with the staff or lessons.
I have learnt a lot in the lessons and the yard has improved a lot over the years with new building such as the indoor.
I have helped out at Wheathill and the staff are all friendly and helpful, and I have never met nicer people.
Maybe your progress is slow because you can’t ride? I learnt very quickly there, with some of the best, most helpful instructors I have ever known.

I just wanted to say I stable my horse there and I know for sure I would never move anywhere else because it is a great yard and all the horses and people on there are all very happy !

Sadly, Wheathill Riding Centre closed in June 2007 - as the whole site had been bought by developers....
