We in the states are used to 12 oz. bottles, this bottle is less then that and in my mind is deceptive marketing. Also contains glucose syrup.

Taste like an artificial, water downed, horrible after taste mixture. Wish I had seen the reviews before wasting $10 on this.

I am so disappointed in the new strongbow formulas that are being sold in the states. Strongbow has long been my favorite cider, but now I will no longer purchase it. Can't wait until I can get back to the UK to get my hands on the original. Bring back the good stuff!!!!

I have no idea why they changed the recipe. They have made new flavors but why change the one everyone liked. I hope they go back to the old recipe because I will never buy this product again if they don't.

The new Strongbow made my stomach hurt and I started sweating, then my mouth started to swell and got numb. I have no idea why they changed this product. When I went to two of our local party stores, they both stated that others had complained and that their sales for strongbow have dropped. I have been drinking ciders for several years now and just returned from Ireland where I drank cider throughout the trip. I have never reacted to any other cider!

Why couldn't you leave well alone? Strongbow is a wonderful drink and you have ruined it. It's too sweet and doesn't even taste like cider. How dare you change it and expect people who have enjoyed Strongbow for years to put up with your stupidity. If I wanted a drink that tastes like apple soda that's what I would buy. This is a sad day for all of us who loved the original Strongbow, please come to your senses and bring it back. Absolutely no one likes your horrible new gold apple, insipid stuff. There is far too much sugar in most American soft drinks and you have just added another one. You must be mad.

What happened!!!??? The original strongbow was amazing... Leaps and bounds my favorite cider... Dry, crisp, delicious. But for some reason, instead of adding a different type of strongbow to the family, they got rid of the old amazing strongbow and replaced it with the same sweet cider that the market is saturated with. This company has lost a long time fan and i will now be drinking magners which is good but was always a second to old, original strongbow. I will add that most of my cider drinking friends agree with my opinion as well as local bars in my town (Indianapolis). Some bars have actually stopped carrying strongbow as it was not selling... Cause there are already sweet ciders! Hopefully old strongbow will return. Until then, another magners bartender!

Strongbow is not cider, there are no 'cider' apples in the stuff, just a paste made from boiling down Bramley apples so they can keep a consistent taste, this is fermented to a well over 20% and then watered dawn, so instantly it is 80% water as well as tasteless and colourless... Then acids are added to give the product a glimmer of taste as well as bags of sugar to make it drinkable Any craft ciders made this way would be disqualified from being "real cider".. If you are a true cider drinker buy "craft cider"... Good cider won't even give you a hangover ! Westons, bulmers, koppaberg, gaymers, magners... Are all factory cider and just as b/s as strongbow. drink #real cider

By far the worst cider I've tasted. It is a little too sour to be tasty in first place, but it is the actual lack of any flavour that ruins the experience. It tastes like...nothing. To be fair, it seems to be one of the cheaper ciders so maybe it is unfair to compare it to the likes of Henry Weston Vintage, but it is certainly much worse than the likes of Magners. So I'd really not recommend this one.

This is disgusting, full of additives like sweetners! try Green Goblin if you want a real cider

Very cheap, also high percentage so its a good lager to get you drunk. Also a refreshing cider for on a hot day. There are better ciders such as bulmers, but for the price strongbow is a good cider, crisp and easy to drink. Reccomended

I've never been much of a cider drinker sticking mostly to beers, wines, scotches and vodka. I first tried Strongbow Dry in my early 50s (10 years ago) and it has become my summer drink of choice. It has a healthy kick and none of the bloating associated with most beers.
I prefer it extra cold and always order it with a side glass full of ice and a twist of lime.

Has i have said, it is a good old English drink, have four or five to start with, before going on to spirits.
It is what it is...cider and that is it!..No messing. The best cider comes from summerset and it should look dark brown and come in a demijohn. Drink has much has you can on a summer's day....enjoy.
Well it has helped me out in life, when i come back from the pub, i feel better for it all right. I look on cider like this, a bit like a walking stick, it helps me stand up for a bit.

I'd say the taste of strongbow is better than a lot of ciders I've tried in the past. However, unlike other ciders I find that after a few cans you want to have some variety and swap over to something else. You can't buy entirely Stronbow and have an flawless night in my honest opinion, you need variety - and with other forms of cider I wouldn't say that this was the case necessarily.

A excellent drink, suitable for almost any occasion...usually reasonably priced as well. Strongbow Cider has a crisp refreshing taste. My favorite 'starting' drink before the spirits. A lot people will say they like it fresh out of the barrel, and it is very good, however i actually prefer it straight out of an ice cold can, aluminum improves the taste to me.

Having imbibed Strongbow on and off in several drinking establishments, I am convinced that all ciders are best enjoyed from a fresh barrel and that the taste changes more noticeably with time in comparison to Beer. At its best (ie. a fresh barrel), Strongbow is slightly lacking in taste but is basically OK. Once it it has been on tap for a while, it can start to taste slightly sharp/sour.....maybe I should complain, but I have noticed this in many pubs. I have never noticed this effect with Scrumpy Jack on draft, which seems a little sweeter and stronger than Strongbow.
I am also not certain about how much of this cider is derived from 100% apples and how much is sugars and flavouring...but then many cheaper ciders are also made like this nowadays. Basically for those who want to get merry, it is an OK drink. But I feel cider experts will still clear of it. Best ciders I have tasted have always come from local farms selling it in local pubs.

Stick to your sugary sweet foofoo drinks, cause that's obviously what you want....leave the ciders to real connoisseurs...
