“Worst Supermarket ever”

Written on: 05/11/2017 by 3Newton (1 review written)

It does not matter which one you visit to purchase your goods, the customer waiting has to be patient whilst personal conversations are completed. You are very rarely greeted at the till after the conversation has stopped. Most of the staff need customer service training. I have had too many occasions now were i just want to walk out of the store. There are a few good staff but they are in short supply and perhaps they had their training somewhere else. You often walk into stores and… Read Full Review

“Rude Miserable Staff”

Written on: 27/10/2017 by F1942 (1 review written)

Visited a Local Co-operative store in Great Barr Birmingham in early October with my son after staff charged him for a gift card that was faulty even though they were aware there were problems. An Asian member of staff apologised and was about to give a refund when another female staff told her that nothing had been taken out of the account but was placed in a 'holding place' but however that he was to return by the Wednesday if the money was not returned into the account. Indeed by the… Read Full Review

“Check the weights of food are correct”

Written on: 02/06/2017 by AntoineAlvarado (1 review written)

I bought some soft brown sugar from the Co-op this week and needed 1KG for a recipe. I bought two 500 gram bags. I was in the middle of making the item when I decided to weigh the bags. Each bag weighed 438 grams instead of 500 grams so I was 124 grams short for my recipe. I shall weigh everything I buy from the Co-op in future… Read Full Review

“I brought a chicken from Rosliston Co-op yesterday ....”

Written on: 23/04/2017 by Rupertthebear (1 review written)

I brought a chicken from Rosliston Co-op yesterday . Reduced price. Use by 23rd. opened it today smelt like rotting fish. Took it back and they offered me a refund or an exchange IF I PAID THE EXTRA because there were no reduced ones left. When I said I was not happy about this the Manager said that it was "the risk you take when buying reduced goods".He was not helpful and seemed to be irritated by the incident. The Co-op seem to be fine when taking money off me, but having to pay an extra 94p… Read Full Review

“Great”

Written on: 09/03/2017 by Jeremy204 (1 review written)

Co/op team are always helpful only one lady who is a bit frumpy at times but otherwise very good towards me. If good are wrong try to amend them. A bit robotic at times but do stop and chat with me. Pricing is very reasonable. Nearly as good as Sainsbury who nearly won an award on WatchDog. Good stores. I think they should have a loo in them though and maybe a few more items. Also their Polish goods could do with English on them so that one can understand the Polish. They look good… Read Full Review

“Great local store”

Written on: 11/02/2017 by 1974Reese (1 review written)

Our local co-op is a great shop. Limited in choice because of its size but that's not a bad thing. Fruit always fresh, own bakery, good rolls,. Staff especially good and efficient, hardworking, helpful. never have to q for long. Feels like a community store, good atmosphere. Lots of good offers. Can't think of anything I don't like… Read Full Review

“great quality own brand food - better than M & ”

Written on: 25/11/2016 by MarquesSpence122 (1 review written)

having been a loyal M & customer for years I have decided to try the coop over the last several months because choice is so limited in M & I have to say I will not go back to M & now, our local (Crwys Rd) branch in cardiff is excellent, the food is quality is really good and you get more for your money at the coop, they always have great special offers too, which M & doesnt have I buy the bistro lettuce pack which I previously bought at M & , at M & it was priced at £1.80 or two for £3… Read Full Review

“THEY STOLE FROM ME”

Written on: 29/09/2016 by Dwaynef243 (1 review written)

I bought a bottle of wine for £8 and gave a note for £50 expecting £42 as my change. The cashier gave me back a 22 for £20, a note for £5 and a coin for £2 which added up to a total of £27. Clearly he mistook and gave me the note for £5 instead of giving me a second note for £20. Now I understand that it was an honest mistake and it happens. But when I confronted the cashier about it he had the audacity to insist that he gave me the correct change and that the cctv could prove it. I… Read Full Review

“Rude deliberatley Slow Staff”

Written on: 26/09/2016 by DavonFitzsimmons219 (1 review written)

For the third time in as many weeks I have been humiliated by the staff in my local Co op they deliberately serve people slowly whilst giving you a sly smirk, I am usually dropping off parcels and today I was standing behind another lady who was being served dropping off her 6 parcels after finishing the cashier deliberately handed the scan gun over to someone else while saying to me quite rudely and without eye contact "You will have to wait he's using it" not once did she make eye contact or… Read Full Review

“cat food”

Written on: 13/09/2016 by Barnettqf1975 (1 review written)

why has someone decided to do away with individual co op cat food packets and replace them with multi packs as cat owners know not all cats are the same. mine will only eat tuna in jelly and will not eat felix or whiskas. so now I have to go to Tesco, so while I'm there I do the rest of my shopping. a simple way to lose customers… Read Full Review

“OUTSTANDING Shop, great quality ”

Written on: 27/08/2016 by 25Thomas (1 review written)

Always the best place to shop for quality own brand food and branded food. The staff in all the stores are friendly and helpful. They don't just stack shelves and scan your shopping. The shelves rarely have products out of stock and there is always an alternative available. THE BEST SUPERMARKET CHAIN IN THE UK AND THE BEST LOCAL SHOP. The co-op values ethics and treats staff fairly… Read Full Review

“Nothing like co-op used to be years ago!”

Written on: 22/07/2016 by Lexie117 (1 review written)

We was regulars at the Co-op for many years but decided now to stick to our Sainsbury's local, here is why A trip to the shops tonight, Sainsbury's local milk cost 50% less than Co-op. Sainsbury's local had lots of sandwich fillers, Co-op had none! Sainsbury's local had good quality orange juice the same price as Co-op cheap stuff. Sainsbury's local packed out bags without even asking, Co-op don't. Sainsbury's local staff are a lot nicer and helpful than Co-ops staff. Sainsbury's local gives… Read Full Review

“In the co op stores at the yew tree in Yardley and at...”

Written on: 21/06/2016 by shelly_tialee (1 review written)

In the co op stores at the yew tree in Yardley and at the Radleys stechford. I find that all the staff are miserable and have bad manners towards the customers, it's as if they don't want to be there. The first few times I noticed this I dismissed it assuming that the staff must of been having a bad day. But how wrong am I they are like it all the time. I thought good customer service is talking politely to your customers, good eye contact, saying thank you or please. My list can go on, it's… Read Full Review

“Multiple Purchases”

Written on: 11/04/2016 by Tatumw343 (1 review written)

I am tired of having to buy multiple items. There are only two of us at home. I have to carry, store, pay for, and sometimes throw out more than I need. If I don't I feel I have been done. This is no more apparent in the milk where 4pts of semi skimmed costs £1.39 and 8pts cost £2 forcing me to lug home two four pinters when I am tired after work. The Coop is my nearest shop and I use it four times a week. I am now going online!… Read Full Review
