B&Q Newbury Park, Ilford. This place just gets worse and worse. Wanted to purchase a piece of wood and to get it cut to size. Out of the dozen staff in the store I was told 'There is no-one here that can do it' Get staff trained then!!! You are advertising a service that you cannot provide. “B&Q Homefit - Stay Away!”

Ordered a new kitchen from B&Q and paid for fitting. When the work was due to start the fitting company sent over a plasterer and electrician as they decided they wanted to! Fitter finally turns up at lunch time 2 days later to start the work. We were promised the works would be completed by Friday, it's now Tuesday and the work is not done. “Ordred £300 fire.. got one that i could get for £130...”

I ordered online and paid £296 for a fire from B&Q. After chasing for a week for delivery we finally got a note through the door and had to go and fetch it from the Yodel delivery depot. When we got it, it had the frame for the fire we wanted but the main fire part was the wrong one. Took it back to store, and even they couldn't understand what had happened. “till staffing levels”

I live near this branch of B&Q and use it regularly, there is almost always a queue of people waiting to be served while most of the tills go unstaffed. last week I was in a queue of 7 people with only one staff person serving and he left us there to go and attend to someone that just arrived at the click and collect counter, while three members of staff were standing chatting at the end of the aisle. same thing again today , this time four members of staff chatting while one person struggles… Read Full Review

I purchased double garage doors online with a delivery date of the 24/08/17. Along with wood for the frame and hinges and bolts. Wood and bits were delivered but not the door. I needed it for the weekend so asked if they could bring it the next day instead and was told (rudely) this couldn't be done so I had to cancel the whole order as I had builders coming for the weekend. “Bath Seal Self Adhesive Product ”

Travelled from Lincoln to Runcorn to carry out some DIY for our daughter, travelled a further 15 miles to B&Q in St Helens, bought two bath seal trims @£10.25 each only to find the self adhesive strip peeled of with the backing paper. Didn't have time to travel 15 miles back to return so had to use an alternative to get the job done, used mastic sealer, waste of time and money, poor quality goods, one strip had already sprung off again less then 12 hours later. I am very unhappy with the stock I received from B&Q. I know I ordered just the simple 6 panels doors which one wasn't so expensive to me but with all the accessories still cost me £166 pounds and by the way paid for the delivery as well which one isn't normal at this time where everywhere doing it for free but this is not a part of my review today.All the doors came damage and not even one was good for fit. Bought a table and chairs - 4 seater expandable metal table and 4 chairs. Delivered the table with three legs and the wrong table - they delivered an 8 seater. Rang to get it collected - they missed two deliveries and eventually when they delivered the replacement I got the other one collected. But on unpacking the replacement it too is an 8 seater not a 4 seater. Chap turned up next day to collect the first table to be told it had already gone. Ordered an Mountfield Lawnmower for the price of £349 and on delivery it fell out of the box now trying to get it send back with a replacement and it is like giving one day for one to be delivered hopefully in the box and another day to collect the damaged one which means another 2 days waiting and time off work. “Beats Homebase hands down!”

We were looking for some cut timber to use as runners for a new cooker (our workstops are too high) . We tried our usual Homebase in Acton - OMG, zero service, not interested - in fact we overheard a shop assistant scolding some people he was supposed to be serving, saying 'These are MY rules, OK?'. “Kitchen fitting”

Brought a kitchen from b&q and waited three months for it to be fitted. The staff were great when we brought it and really pleased with the surveyor who came out. Unfortunately I don't think the fitters looked at the kitchen plans, numerous errors when has really delayed the fitting. Been living in chaos for ages and the fitter never turned up on time and then left early. A three- four day job has turned into two weeks and still not completed. I was disappointed with the valspur wall and ceiling paint that I bought from B&Q in Weston-super-Mare. I am quite experienced with decorating, in that I have always done my own, to a good standard. “Ordering kitchen goods through the stores”

This is an appalling service that has been blamed on the computer and then the technical team. The store at Blackburn had our money on the 5th June the goods were cancelled (kitchen worktops)! on the 6th June because of the errors they were making and moving the date of delivery to later and later.
