Bag of maynards allsorts. For fathers day.what have you done maynards to the best sweet on the market. No coconut rounds a majority of square white and yellow not the same recipe. What are you doing maynard? You have ruined an excellent long lived product. Taste is foul with a foul aftertaste in the mouth. I will not buy or ask my family to buy them again. Maynards you have shot yourselves in the foot big time. Before long nobody will be buying so another product dies.

Bought some allsorts today as a treat. However my favourite sweets (coconut rings) were nowhere to be found. Utterly dissatisfied and disappointed. Won’t be bothering again. They all tasted rubbish too.

I can only echo other reviewers in their dismay at the lack of variety within a bag or box of Bassetts Liquorice Allsorts. Seems to just be made up of the triple white/yellow/liquorice ones, single brown ones and just straight liquorice. I think the day has come to pass on this item as the quality is also sadly lacking.

In my packet, all the sweets were mishapen and over 25% were just liquorice. Very poor selection. Will not be buying these again!

A box of Bassetts Liquorice Allsorts has been given by my children to their dad for Father's day/birthday/Christmas for decades as it was one of his top treats. No more, the last box was a strange plasticky imitation of what once was. He does not want another box ever. I thought he might be being a bit harsh, but when I tried them I couldn't believe how nasty the flavour is now. Also the assortment is far more limited. They were bucketed.

I have bought several bags of Maynards Liqorice Allsorts over the past year. Each one was a huge disappointment. The taste is not as good compared to Bassett's original recipe. Also for some reason the coconut rolls - my favourite - are missing. Not even one found in a box. What a waste of a classic British sweet. Avoid at all costs.

I treated myself to a bag of Bassetts liquorice allsorts. My favourite, the coconut rings, were not there - not one. Are Bassetts not including them any more? I certainly won't be buying them again if not!!

Fancied these today, in truth would love to taste the old ones again. I forgot the taste, probably had my first Allsorts early 1980's. Today totally miffed by my selection as it was missing the Coconut roll, my personal favourite

No variety in the packs. It's all the same colour sandwich ones, either yellow or white, with none of the selection we used to get. Very disappointing, and the price does not reflect the lack of quality. Will not bother with allsorts again.

Bassetts liquorice allsorts used to be the best and .osteoarthritis celebrated but now they are rubbish and I will not be buying again. They are dry and unappetising and the selection is terrible my last box contained at least 25% plain liquorice and no fondant logs or the quartered sweets. If your plan is to fade them out of production you're doing a great job.

Synthetic sugary garbage now, liquorice allsorts with barely any liquorice taste. Why do this to a sweet that was once great. Nothing like the original bassetts and over time they seemed to be the same but now they are just terrible. Trying to have a more polished look, feel and taste to these sweets has ruined them. Christ who is doing your market research these days? You did the same to wine gums, never liked yours and not even close to the original bassetts wine gums or lions ones which were great. Maynards gums are so bad, you ruined the brand Lions (who sold out) and as expected Maynards completely destory sports mix, midget gems, change the texture, flavours and drop the liquorice ones idiots !! Thankfully we can still get original Lions gums online or a few still in shop with Fruit Salad and Football Mix.

I bought some recently and was truly shocked at the change in size and texture (far more squishy) but the falvour was awful! Reminded me of wine gums and then I noticed the packet said Maynards!!! Why mess with something that was perfect. I won't be buying them again. Yuk

I have enjoyed Basset's Licorice Allsorts for at least sixty years and I am disgusted by the product that is now being marketed by Maynard as though it were the real thing. The bags of Allsorts are nothing like the original product. They are misshapen, of poor quality, overpriced, and nothing like the product that was manufactured and marketed by Barrett’s in the past. I will not be buying them in future and I am sure that I will not be the only person to make this decision.

Been eating Bassets all-sorts for approximately 70 years, now they're nothing like the originals, should never have sold out to the Yanks, who have no taste in anything.

I don't know who makes bassett licorice allsort but they are hard no softness in them they used to be fabulous not any more.

My favourite sweets now downgraded to absolute rubbish "sweets". Can't detect any original liquorice taste whatsoever. An absolute travesty but not unexpected when Maynards ruined midget gems and sports mixtures by removing all liquorice taste from those sweets. Maynards why do you even exist anymore?

this once greatly loved sweets been reduced in quality just above rubbish . It is very obvious the management doesn't bother to read reviews and continue to produce a poor product.

It must be at least 15 to 20 years since i bought a bag / box of Bassetts Liquorice Allsorts and i must say i am shocked by the change of what was a great sweet selection to a very disappointing product it is now, the sweets are now to hard and sugary with a great loss of liquorice taste ,even my favorite sweet in the selection with the little blue aniseed on it is totally different im near sure they were made of black liquorice and now it appears they are just white gelatine inside, I would really have liked to have known before my purchase the passion which is claimed to be in the making of these sweets was absent along with the flavour and taste .I would have liked to have known this before i wasted my time buying them let alone the price of them now

I fully agree with these comments. My family will confirm that I have been a Bassett Licourice Allsorts fan all my life, now 80. I noticed an immediate deterioration in the product as soon as the Maynards label appeared. The last pack I bought nearly got thrown in the bin, they had the texture of lino, hard and dry.
