I have been so impressed with the attitude and customer Service that I have received at the Gyle Edinburgh Branch of Specsavers , having had the need to return Superdry Sunglasses that have broken on three occasions due to a Design Fault I have now been given an alternative pair of Prescription sunglasses to the value of my original purchase. I went to the new Urmston,Manchester branch. I was overcharged with hidden extras that I never asked for, and were not explained. When I said it was the most I had ever paid in a Specsavers, she informed me that I WAS lucky to be blind in one eye or it would of cost double if I had full sight. Totally insulted. “Patronising customer service and poor quality glasses”

Customer service at Purley Specsavers is dreadful. Staff are either untrained or patronising and rude. I complained that the vision in my new glasses was 'blurry' and the focus point was in the wrong area of the lenses. Rather than apologise and admit that the fitting taken by their staff had been incorrect, and try to remedy the situation by ordering new lenses, I was told it was my fault for not allowing at least 2 weeks to adjust to the new lenses! 3 members of staff told me differing advice… Read Full Review

I will never use specsavers again after visiting the Muswell Hill branch. It feels unhygienic and scruffy, they don’t have much stock and you’re kept waiting for literally hours to be tested. The manager is rude, unhelpful and accused me of lying when I said I hadn’t been given my prescription. I have had a small number of visits to the Corby branch and I am pleased to say I will not be returning. My first one went ok but whilst choosing the right frames for me, I found the Assistant to be rude and she gave me a wrong time to pick my glasses - 7am only to find that this store doesn't open at that time. “rubbish frames”

I bought 2 identical pairs of glasses from specsavers and the arm came loose on one of them after just a few weeks. I started wearing the other pair and same happened with those. Assistant blamed the way I take off my glasses saying I should use my left hand and not right as I was pulling the frame. I was in fact taking them off with my left hand so that didn't wash really! The only good thing I can say about Specsavers is the actual appointment. Beyond that they are badly run and managed. Ordering replacement contacts is an ordeal as it requires return phone calls, credit card details and then, if you're lucky, you might get the lenses. Too many times this does not happen. in addition on two occasions they have refused me new lenses because they have no record of my eyesight test. My husband has home visits from specsavers because he is unable to get to the shop on is own, this was arranged by me. When I asked for the same arrangement for myself I was told if I could get from the car park to the shop I would not be entitled to a home visit. Specsavers, Newark, is situated in Morrisons superstore. There are no doors on the storefront, so noise from footfall, tills, conveyor belts, talking, announcements, is very intrusive. During my appointment the phones were ringing and nobody was answering them. I dreaded going for an opticians appointment. Specsavers Stirling is like a cattle market with people being shunted along the production line from beginning to end. They are profit driven and not interested in customer service.
