Waterpark Is It Complete
we are due to arrive at sahara beach resort on the 3 july and we are a family with kids, can you tell me if the waterpark is complete and open as the kids are really looking forward to it and most reviews say that it is nearly complete , when we booked we were told it would be complete by may 2011 and that swung our decision to book this holiday , most review we have read are all pretty much the same saying it is a fantastic holiday, the odd bad review but we will review for ourselves after we have been really looking forward to it ,please let us know if the waterpark is done as if it is nt we will have to let kids know before we come or they will be really upset when they get there kind thanks

Just Returned From A 10 Day Holiday At The Sahara
Just returned from a 10 day Holiday at the Sahara Beach Hotel
Good points. The entertainment staff were excellent
Bad points. The food was poor, the accommodation is very tiny (if their are three of you don't even consider sharing one room)
You need to be up at 7.00 am to get a lounger, staff will provide you with a mattress for the lounger, Don't be tempted to tip them for the whole week in one go, they will just come back every day for the same amount.
Drinks, a very pathetic and time consuming system exists. Stand in a line for beers, get beers and then stand in another line for wines and spirits, then stand in another line for soft drinks and or coffees. The Snack bar that serves food all day is as far from the majority of the loungers as it is possible to be.
Trips, don't book the Carthage trip. You don't actually get to Carthage, instead they take you to the ruins of some Roman baths and you still only get 45 minutes to explore. Sidi Bou Said is just a shopping centre with white houses and blue windows

Just Got Back Today And Booking For Next Year, Was
Just got back today and booking for next year, was there 2 years ago and loved it then. There was 8 of us ages ranging from 12 to 41 and we all had a ball. It may not be the plushest of hotels, but I believe it's getting refurbished next year.
The animation team were absolutely fantastic, hard working bunch, always entertaining and some of the shows they put on were great, especially the lion king. The photographer in the hotel is amazing too, came back with over 100 photo's of my family which are really cheap, never get photos like that back here, the guys are so professional. Personally I can't say a bad word about the place. Have read some real bad reviews about the hotel and can't believe the rubbish that's been written. Admittedly if you're looking for loads of night-life and are with crowd of guys or lasses then no it ain't the place to go, but I think its great for families. Loved it loved it! Miss everyone there loads but will see them next year!

I Have Just Returned From A Week At This Hotel And
I have just returned from a week at this hotel and I have to say it was the best holiday I have been on. Yes the rooms may be a little dated ( but I didn't pay to go and sit in my room) However they were cleaned everyday. The pools are varied. You have a kids pool, a quiet adult pool and then the entertainment pool. The animation team spend most of the day at the entertainment pool and have all sorts of things going on like darts and water polo and silly games ( I normally lost and ended up in the pool) My children asked to go to the kids club most days as they loved it and the activities were varied. I'm not sure the guy running it spoke much English but the kids loved him and he was great with them. The hotel has a stables attached and the riding is very cheap and I spent a lovely 3 hours with the guys there, and they even had my kids washing the horses so I could go out for a gallop on the beach!! The food is good. my kids ate mostly the same all week but this was due to their lack of imagination and not the lack of variety on offer. I'm a very fussy eater but found something iIliked everyday.
All in all I can think of nothing bad. Everyone was so friendly and I tipped a few at the end of the week as they really deserved it.
Lastly I have to mention the hotel photographer, The art of Hattem. Really you MUST make time for a session ( the shoot is free). He took over 100 pics of us and I could of brought them all they were so good. I spent less than £20 pounds and got 8 lovely pics that would have cost me a fortune at home. (he even airbrushed a bit and made my skin look flawless!!!)All in all I would recommended this hotel for families or any one who is lively and likes to join in.
The people their made my holiday fantastic and I will be going back.

Although A Nice Generally Friendly Place An Mostly
Although a nice generally friendly place an mostly liked it I would not go there again. MONASTIR airport a nightmare coming in country, but hotel fab. Although weather very mixed, holidayed 23 march to 30 march 08. Two of my children got a sick bug an eldest son fell round pool split his head open. Needed emergency doctor which cost us £20 before would even see him then £15 for antibiotic cream. Told see own doctor when get home Had to pay even though had insurance. But have to get this in, the FOOD was FANTASTIC an coming from me a picky eater is praise indeed. Needs plenty of work doing to update an in my opinion needs tv in room for if and when kids are poorly. Little entertainment but probably due to time we went. Bar staff very rude an generally unhelpful but restaurant staff much nicer. So called resort zoo needs work an animals more care.
