Our stay started on April 1, 2022 and ended April 4, 2022. First, staff at Front desk tries their best to do what they can, however, the customer service from Columbia they are crappy, they have no class and doesn't understand the word Customer Service. We have received our booking from February of 2022, was advised to make a deposit of which we did and then there is a balance that is due upon arrival. Once we arrived we had to wait almost an hour, because of $3.26. Our reservation showed a balance and front desk could not accept our email confirmation, they had to send message to the office in Columbia as it appears they are the head office. We waited for someone to advise us what is the hold up, then we received a call from some person from Columbia and the lady proceeded to say the balance is 3.26 more than what we had in writing. We told her by principle we are paying whatever was given to us in writing. She hung up and had us waiting indefinitely to be checked in. Very poor customer service. At this point we wanted to cancel this trip as it started off well undesirable. We then decided we will pay as we did not want to waste anymore time after our long wait. We paid and then headed to the dining area; and in the whole hotel, every day for the 3 days we were told that the blenders were not working, they are burnt up. Can you imagine? a hotel without not even one blender and insist on saying the blender is burnt up. How cheap this place is, they don't care for their customers, its all about paying money but no good service to go with it. The food taste really disgusting, meat is raw, vegetables not properly cooked and of course nothing blended to have the bad taste out of your mouth. Every day after having something to eat no matter how carefully I choose what to eat, I end up with a stomach ache. Don't even worry to get sick, as I wanted a pain killer and they were not able to offer one, I had to go to the supermarket close by to get a pain killer. We head to the room, when we got there, wanted to take a long nice bath, the water coming from the pipe/shower could not even be caught in one hand to wash my face; reported it to have a plumber take a look. It took them 5 hours to get a plumber to change the shower head so the water could come through properly. The following day, while having a shower, the shower head fell off. Nothing works there. Don't even mention the colour of their supposedly white towels. It is a disgrace, the white towels are brown, those need to clean floor. This place is disgusting and I strongly discourage anyone trying to have a nice, enjoyable relaxing time, stay away from this old crappy place. Some of the employees there are very nice, others are grumpy and they complain about work right in your presence and I can understand why. Columbia's Management doesn't understand what it means to be customer focused, customer driven and looking out for customer satisfaction. I would never ever go back to this place or advise anyone to go there.

Just come back from a 9 day stay, great place, excellent value for money.
Don't book trips with hotel, just go outside the gate and find Trevor (taxi driver) very reasonable and way cheaper than hotel prices for any trip you want to do.

I have just returned from 2 weeks at this resort. It was marvellous the service first class the staff friendly nothing to much trouble. The rooms spotless as was the rest of the resort. The beach lovely white sand that was raked all day so no weeds or footprints to spoil the view. The food first class plenty to choose from and lots of variety.IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A RELAXING HOLIDAY THIS IS THE PLACE TO COME FAR BETTER THAN THE LARGE APARTMENT BLOCK STYLE AT OTHER NEARBY RESORTS.To be fair we had a beach bungalow but even the garden bungalows have plenty of space around. All in all we had a great time and will return again.

Too primitive, come into this century and get your guests some complimentary Internet access, try channeling retrofit! Last but certainly not least, customer service, customer service, customer service, all inclusive includes accommodating your guests on the first request, no excuses!!!

Great hotel if you are looking for real jamaican experience. Nice local food and other, they have lots of coctails on offer too. Friendly staff, live entertainment.
Had a great time there, the only negative i could see is that there is no childens pool and you need wet shoes to go in the sea.

Good points, The Weather.
Bad point, not being able to leave the complex for safety resigns, and the drug dealing by there staff!

I would recommend Runaway Bay, Royal Decameron Club Caribbean holiday to my friends as I have just come back and would definitely book again. Well worth the money that we paid. Excellent entertainment and service there was always something to do and everyone was very friendly. The food was lovely and they had a wide choice. The rooms were always clean and the staff were all friendly.

Decameron Club Carribean at Runaway bay is 3 star no more. The hotel was picked for its individual bungalows and not a high rise complex. But could have paid the same money for the 4-5 star hotels.
The virtual tour gave a much better picture than it actually was, as did the brochure.

We had a excellent holiday at Club Caribbean, I am going back next may, I loved it so much. The barman at the jetty bar is great he makes boss cocktails. We met a lovely couple fron Reading and we had loads of laughs while we were there. The free water sports are great too. The hotel is kept clean all the time, The cleaner comes every day. There are 2 pools both which are good. I loved the food loads of variety. Cakes are to die for. I went on one trip, and we swam with the dolphins it was fantastic, it cost £100 each but worth it, I cannot wait to go back next year with my husband.

The Runaway Bay Club Caribbean is a perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. I hated to leave and only wish i was there now. If you can get one ask for a beach front cottage - and although i didn't see one i heard the courtyard rooms should be avoided. would go back in a heartbeat - if only there weren't so many other wonderful places to go.

I have stayed at Runaway Bay Club Caribbean 3 times and am going on my 4th visit very soon. The RDCC is a wonderful place with lots to do for all ages. Only 20 mins away is Ocho Rios with its cruise port and hundreds of great duty free shops. The hotel is buzzing with entertainment and there is always the option to join in if you feel like it but you dont have to. I have recommended many friends to this hotel and they have all enjoyed their visits too and have return journeys planned also.

Runaway Bay Club Caribbean - The big downside was the transport supplied by Virgin Holidays to get us to the airport. The bus was dangerously overcrowded (people sitting on the floor for over an hour and luggage piled roof-high on the seats). The bus was driven so fast people were visibly scared. The bus then proceded to drive right past our resort to Ocho Rios 40 minutes away (as it turned out he did not know where our resort was!). To add insult to injury, he offloaded one of our suitcases at a hotel in Ocho Rios and it was only realised when we finally arrived at our hotel. At 2AM, I then had to wait up another 1.25 hours to see if the driver could retrieve our case as he did not know exactly where he had offloaded it! A nightmare journey that Virgin Holidays obviously do not care about as they have made no effort to even acknowledge my complaint I wrote 7 weeks ago. Vey bad customer service.
