I Bought A Silver Peugeot 100 In October 1999, And
I bought a silver Peugeot 100 in October 1999, and it has given me excellent service ever since . My annual mileage on it is quite low, as I also have a car; but the scooter is very useful for much local travel, and also on occasions when my wife needs our car.
The only design fault I am aware of is that the battery is not really powerful enough for the electric starter. Certainly in winter a cold engine needs to be kick-started. And the battery does seem to lose power rather quickly, within a few months. The kick-starter needs a very powerful kick - not that that bothers me; but some less strong riders, expecting to rely on the electric starter, might find it very frustrating when they can't do so, and if they have great difficulty in kicking hard enough to make the engine fire.
