ok for very occasional use but the chain is forever coming off its guide as it loses its tension very quickly. I wish I hadn't bought it

I have always had difficulty in tensioning the chain on my Black and Decker GK1630TK Chainsaw, despite following all instructions to the letter. Seriously let down by this problem, I'm afraid.
Other matters are ok, but for me the above experience renders a lack of positive review for this chainsaw.

My Black and Decker GK1630TK Chainsaw has done me five winters of logs, on two chains. It's never given me a problem except storage; it has to be stored on end if there's any oil in the tank, otherwise it empties itself. Now it stops at every opportunity - clutch problem, I imagine - and I can't get at it. I'm not sure I want to, actually; I just don't think a clutch should pack up. As long as you regard a well-used saw as disposable after it has done months of steady work, you'll be OK with this.

This black and decker chainsaw is very poor mechanically - can't keep the chain adjusted. Chain tensioner doesn't work and the safety clutch is annoying and noisy.

The little bottle of chain oil that comes in the box is very small. Once you have soaked the chain in the oil and then put all the remaining oil (oil left in the bottle and oil in the container you were soaking the chain in) into the chainsaw, the level indicator will show that it is about a quarter full. Then after using the chain saw for five minutes it will be showing empty. My advice is to buy some chain oil at the same time as buying the chain saw.
