Overall we had a fantastic time as we were simply there for a rest and a quiet time, I went with my friend last may and enjoyed it so much I went again in september on my own, the staff remembered me and looked after me, there are a lot of german people there but I got on very well with everyone and made some new friends. We are going again in July .

Myself and our 9 year old spent much of the holiday on the toilet.
Not a nice place as if you leave the hotel and there is just a road both ways and the streets are full of rubbish. Sorry to say but a place only for pigs.
Never again to Eden Club or Tunisia.

It is a brilliant family holiday. I have just got back from the Eden Club Hotel in Tunisia, and I thought it was brilliant. The animation team who organise the sports, leisure and kids activities are the best. The shows at night are excellent. The comedy shows are hilarious. We were there for 1 week and met another family who were there for 2 weeks, and we all had a great time, and would go again. The weather is great too.
One bit of advice is that you will get pestered by people to go on camels and boat rides etc., which were great too, but they are extra. They are worth the money, but make sure you banter your price down a lot, and the same goes for the shop on site.
The rooms are OK, although nothing special, but then again you don't spend much time there.
The swimming pools are good, and there is an aqua park open from 10-12pm and also 3-5.30pm, and the chutes there are great.

The rooms at Skanes Romance Eden Club in Tunisia were adequate for the time spent in them. The chamber maids were efficient and thorough. When the beds were made each day they would leave flowers on the sheets, which was a really nice touch. Everyone made you feel welcome, and the majority of the staff were pleasant and spoke good English. In other comments, people have said that this hotel is geared for German guests; there were a lot of German people at the hotel, but the Manager does want more British people to go to his hotel, and I would certainly recommend Eden Club, as it is now known.

Romance Eden Club:
Spent 24 hours waiting for a room because when we arrived at 8pm they said there was none. so we slept in reception with 5 sunbed mattresses. I didn't want to go to sleep incase the flies ate me. I wish if I took fly killer with me because they are really irritating when you are exhausted and tired. The next day we was waiting to be transferred to another hotel but this didn't happen until bout 6pm. The flies again seemed to run the whole of the restaurant. As I looked in through the window the flies ate most of the food while the guests at the hotel starved.

I think the people who wrote here before were unlucky and that things have changed in the Eden Club or they were staying somewhere else because we just got back from there and had a brilliant week.
The staff all speak English and the manager, (who is the new owner so maybe he has made changes) told us he is trying to get more Brits there. We have told them some more suggestions to help but it is well on it way now.
The staff in the animation crew who did the shows and organised games of volleyball, football, archery, darts etc. They are very talented people and their shows that they put on for us at night were excellent. The comedy shows were funnier than anything i have seen on tv.
The pools are clean and the waterpark with its 5 waterslides are great fun, there are lifeguards there to watch but they pretty much let you do whatever you want to do.
The food was ok, not my favourite kind of food but very much edilble. There was as much drink as you liked until 11pm everyday. The soft drinks was real coke, fanta and sprite and the local beer was nice. There is local wine and cocktails on at night too.
Yes there was flies and there was wasps but i don't think this is anything the hotel can do about it.
The rooms were cleaned everyday and new towels put out, we even got flowers and clothes folded by the chamber maid too.
The sea was great to swim in, it has a high salt content and it keeps you afloat so very relaxing. There is alot of seaweed in the water but again i fail to see what the hotel management can do about this.
All round it was a great holiday and i would go back again without a second thought.

We are just back from Skanes Romance Eden Club and everything is geared towards Germans. There is no information in English and very few of the staff actually speaks English. Included in this fact is the entertainment, which is done by the local animation crew, and despite the obvious enthusiasm leaves a lot to be desired!
We were also promised a sea-view, and if you have imagination and a high-powered x-ray telescope, then you would have one.
Along with others here you can only change money at set times and what these set times are, is anyone's guess.
Every nationality apart from British were provided with cushioned mats for sun loungers and when asked why, we were told that we could get them if we paid, so we had to fork out £3 per day for something we were told was all-inclusive. This paying part was only on a good day, and on some days we were told no.
Food: ... forget it!!! Breakfast was totally inedible and consisted of sausages and eggs. I have tasted some bad food in my day, but my 9-year-old son, who was practically starving refused to eat the sausages, as did the local cats that I fed one day, and they were scrawny looking! One guest asked for eggs when the trays had been empty for some time and was handed two, which were raw. When he asked for them to be boiled, he was swore at. Lunch consisted of Stew and Spaghetti. Dinner consisted of Spaghetti and Stew. Snacks at 3 - 5 consisted of cake at the bar, but if you asked before 4, even although the trays of cake were actually there, you were refused point blank, much to the embarrassment of my wife and a few other British guests. Snacks at 11 - 12 as per brochure, were provided, these were little round biscuits that I remember making in Home Economic classes in High School!! My son actually went hungry on a supposed All-Inclusive and because we were a twenty-minute taxi ride to Sousse (were only decent takeaways were) and this cost £10 round trip, but was worth it to feed my son. Our family and 4 other families ended up eating out every night bar one. I have been on 6 all-inclusive holidays excluding this one and food wise this doesn't compare to even the worst other one.
As per brochure, you are on the beach, but it is dirty and sea is full of seaweed
The men are very pushy and "hands on" so women beware of this.
The pista de r sistance for me was the fact of having 1% beer served up and them expecting you to accept that the local beer "Celtia" was very expensive and we had to pay for it. On any all-inclusive local wine, spirits, beer has always been included, but not here. I bought vodka at the bar only for change and it cost me nearly £4. When a representative eventually showed up after 5 days he had a stand up argument with the Hotel Director and told him to give the local brew, Celtia to the guests and he refused. The order of the day for this hotel was "scrimp" and in all aspects of food and drink they were excellent at it.
On the subject of the representative, after 5 days of trying, when he showed up, he had no complaint forms. He arrived the next day with the forms and after 10 minutes told all the complainers that he had to go to other hotels, even although we personally hadn't started writing. One guest said that he couldn't go because he was still writing and he was told he would hit him if he tried to stop him. An argument ensued and resulted in the representative pushing a guest, and becoming very aggressive. This representative was a local and over 6ft, so one can imagine the fear and alarm this caused.
In summary, my first visit to Tunisia was a bad one, and I will probably not go back. This decision is solely down to this hotel, as I won't take the chance for my family that this is not indicative of the country.
I strongly advise that British people give this hotel a very wide berth.

It is people like you who are molly coddled. if you want no flies stay at home, if you don't like other nationalities, stay at home, if you don't like different food, stay at home. I work all over the world and no matter where i go i am on the toilet alot and it is down to the individual. My kids and wife were fine the whole time and as usual i got it. You people let things spoil your holidays. Did you go to Monastir or Sousse? Did you go to the carpet factory or on the camels, pirate ship or quads. There is loads to do.
