Excellent customer service at British bookshops and Sussex Stationers, good variety of books with staff happy to order in any title. Wide variety of cards, bought too many but loved them all. Excellent art department, amazing considering this is in a small Sussex town and not central London.

Since British Bookshops and Sussex Stationers were taken over by an Irish company, the standard and quality of the things they sell has dropped. Our local branch sells poor quality poundshop paints and craft products instead of artist quality. Chocolate, storage boxes and reading glasses have lowered the tone of this previously dignified chain. Choice of books, stationery and art has sadly decreased. They have now been taken over again by the owners of Bookstack so expect more changes and branches closing.

Good service, layout of the store and price of goods. Very pleasant experience and would go back there again.

I find that Sussex Book shop is very helpful especially if you are in a hurry they will get the book off the shelf or even tell you if they have it in stock.
They will then offer to order it if you want them to. Also the prices are very good as I have compared books from other shops and Aussex book shop is far cheaper. As one book I got in Sussex book shop was £5 cheaper then W.H. Smiths.

The layout of British Bookshops and Sussex Stationer's is easy, and the shop is accessible to all people. Wide enough for wheelchairs and invalid carriages. The staff are very friendly and polite, and they are always willing to help at all times. A Highly recommended book store to visit. This store stocks all the latest titles and at really great prices. unbeatable! They also have a wide range of stationery, and a huge range of greetings cards.

If a desired book is not one that they intend to carry they will order it at recommended Retail price. The company appear to be changing their name again from 'British Bookshops and Sussex Stationers' to 'British Bookshops' if their till rolls are an indication

There are few of these shops. There is a British Bookshops and Sussex Stationariesone in Romford, and one in Brighton, there's more but I don't know where they are. The shop is an all round cracker with disounted books, usually half price.

After visiting the Horsham Branch of BBS I was very impressed by the level of service I received.
