Wonderful Staff And Excellent Location
I happen to be know the owners of this wonderful family friendly run hotel. They are all wonderful people and you won't be disappointed if you just try this hotel and see for yourself. The staff are all friendly and will make your visit to Malta memorable. The location is excellent with bus stops very close to the hotel, you are walking distance to many wonderful restaurants and very are reasonably prices. What have you got to loose, well worth a try. Sabrina and Marchelle are the staff on reception and I am sure they can answer any questions you may have, just call them. Anyway I loved Malta and the white dolphin made it more enjoyable, with my kids swimming in that lovely pool each day. liz sciberras Taylors Lakes Australia

This Was Our First Visit To Malta As A Family. The
This was our first visit to Malta as a family. The island is like most in the Med with some areas being quite modern & others rather run down.
The White Dolphin complex was fine for us. The rooms were basic, but clean & tidy (after all you only use them as a base to sleep). The owner was very helpful as was the owner of the restaurant/bar onsite. Linen/towels were changed twice a week & the apartment cleaned (Tuesdays/Fridays).
In other reviews, people have mentioned the pool being shady in the afternoon & rear rooms not being so good. From our experience, having the shade in the afternoon was a bonus as it was 33 degrees plus in the morning.
With regard to rooms, if you opt for a 1 bedroom apartment, it is likely to be at the rear of the hotel and will be facing a building site (unfinished apartment block). Those rooms on the first 3 floors additionally have an enclosed wall opposite so do not benefit from the sun as much as the upper floors (four, five & six).
The better block to be in at the back appears to be Block B which is where we were (4th floor) as this opposite the end of the unfinished block & certainly had sun for most of the day.
The front rooms are 1 room studios which look over the pool/bar area but after about midday, the sun has moved to the rear of the complex.
Qawra is rather smaller & quieter than Bugibba which is about a 30 minute walk from the White Dolphin. We had several snack meals at the restaurant onsite which were fine (an all day english breakfast is currently 2.70 euros) and the end of week BBQ on the Friday was good.
For most of our meals however, we ate at Luzzu's which is on the main road in Qawra and has a nice veranda overlooking the bay (about a 5 minute walk from the White Dolphin) as we found this the best in the town.

My Wife And I Love The White Dolphin Apartments An
My wife and I love the White Dolphin apartments and have visited for a number of years now. If you are there in the summer, the bar-b-que is not to be missed and is excellent value.
The restaurant is very obliging and if you wish for something not on the menu, they will try to get it for you, as long as you give them notice.
All in all, a very nice, friendly place to stay.
Q&A
We have booked a penthouse but cannot find any photos of the interior, only the fabulous balcony (which is the reason we booked the penthouse). Does anyone know of a site where we can view the interior and do all the penthouses have the same balcony set up?
