Bring back the old formula! The only one I sort of like is the nectarine and coral flower for volumising. The smell of the others is really acidic and the hydrating formula extremely thick and gloopy and difficult to rinse out. Where is the 'herbal' element - marigold, camomile etc.?

I really dislike herbal essence. The original was so much better. I brought it after the new adverts etc, and am not pleased. My hair is actually coming out of the shower worse than its gone in!!! I am now getting greasy hair, never experienced before. I have tried it a few times with the same problem. Needless to say I will not be using this again.

After looking at the other reviews of this shampoo, I'm quite surprised. I absolutely love using this shampoo! It's really invigorating, and it smells nice and fruity and fresh. The scent is always noticeable on my hair after it's dried. It cleans my hair really nicely, without feeling too heavy or thick, like other shampoo's can.
I've been using Herbal Essences Revitalising Shampoo for a while now, and it isn't the first time I have bought it either. I'll be buying it again too!

The first time and certainly the last time I bought Herbal Essences Revitalising Shampoo was because i saw an ad on TV.

To begin with, Clairol Herbal Essences's older now discontinued hair care products used to work much more efficiently until Clairol began to lose money - now this is what's on the market. My honest opinion is that this shampoo [I'll also add conditioner, if you may] is just a waste of money. My hair color stays the same, the volume of my hair stays the same, my hair is neither moist nor conditioned.. but the plus is that the shampoo does in fact smell good and removes build-up [not ALL of it anyhow!]. I really disliked the product, needless to say.

I too, liked the original "Herbal Essences" shampoo line (I'm not talking about the "green" shampoo- but, I liked it too), and this reviewer is right - the latest in this line is pure marketing hype. A lot of pretty packaging, scents, color and "exotic" ingredients that don't really do anything but get gullible "next-century-cool-teen-wannabes" to part with their cash. I really can't understand how a "world-famous" company like Clairol® could sink so low!! But, looking at the glut of "cheap silicone/exotic ingredients laden trash" on today's shelves (even in "so-called" fine salons and beauty supplies), it's pretty plain that it's all about making a quick buck. Which is why they "reformulate" and "repackage" and "introduce" new products every few months (as soon as the public catches on to the fact that the products are "junk").

I found this review very helpful because I have just had to wash my hair with Fairy Washing-up-Liquid as even clarifying shampoos have not been able to remove the greasy patch 4 weeks after using Herbal Essences Shampoo and Conditioner! Now going to condition my hair with Henna.
