“great for kid and husband”

written by nacnud on 13/03/2012

my husband used to read this as a child and now i've just brought a subscription for my son. He loves it and as does his father. they are able to read it together and on their own. It's perfect because its just about football and not like the girlie magazines out there that similar aged girls read. things are so much easier with boys than girls. The subscription price was reasonable. I think i willl be treating him to this much more in the future

i have been a collector of this magazine since i was 3 and it hasnt changed much but it has been an entertaining read at night.any changes made are the change for the good. By my view of the magazines mOtD (match of the day)has just plainly copying match but match will always reign supreme at all times.

“Match magazine features a cartoon footballer called...”

written by dannydudey on 23/12/2005

Match magazine features a cartoon footballer called Matchy, who is mates with all the top Premiership stars. Various cartoons in the magazine relate to his adventures with the footballers, and they are written in a streetwise language.

There are lots of posters of Premiership players, and information about teams. It does mention football league players and teams, but not very much. A fantasy football league is very well run by match, and keeps my son busy with transfers.

All in all, this is a very good football magazine, with a mostly light hearted look at the world of the Premiership, and other countries top leagues.
