Breezes Varadero

This was my first time in Cuba always said that I never wanted to come here.

I was pleasantly surprised at the number of people who have been returning for over 18 yrs, why you ask that's what I asked.

The answer was the same from everybodyi asked.

The people and only Canadians.

OK the buffet was nicely put together and the food was bland. The BBQ was nice.

I came down solo but it was easy to meet people.

I liked my room. It wasn't fancy but it was clean.

I think that I will be planning to come back.

PS

I got a nasty sunburn still peeling after 2 weeks

We Have Just Returned From A Fantastic Week At Thi

We have just returned from a fantastic week at this Superclubs Breezes.

The resort has a good team of entertainers who try the best to entertain during the day and then in the evenings there are shows which are also above the standard of the usual resort entertainment.

The food was ok but you have to be prepared to lower your standards a little as Cuban food in general is below the standards that we are used to. Saying that there was always something that we did like for every meal. The omelettes and pasta lunches are definately worth trying.

The 2 special restaurants had really good food and exceptional service for both nights we were there.

A few tips for you if you are about to go there...

1)Take a snorkel and shoes or flippers to wear while snorkelling.

2)Take insulated mugs that you can use when you go to the bar there.Everyone is doing that and it saves on wasting plastic cups and keeps the drinks cooler longer.

3)Take the trip into Havana. So much to see its probably worth going there twice.

4)Everybody recommends the Caves trip although we didn't have time to go there ourselves.

5)Scooter hire is really cheap and easy so thats a good way to see a little peice of the island.

Some of the better entertainment nights were the Magic Show as corny as it sounds and the water dancers.

The resort doesn't really cater for singles as its a little way out from the nightlife.

I do have a favour to ask if you are reading this review as we are trying to locate a dog that we saw while we were there so if you are going to go there in the near future then get in touch with me on [email protected] and I will send you photos of the dog. We are hoping to adopt the dog and bring it home.

Have Visited Hotel Twice Once On My Own Once With

Have visited hotel twice once on my own once with partner. The beaches are beautiful and the sunsets are stunning some staff were very nice and the beer goes down to well. Met nice Canadian people. People commented about begging in Havana but a few of the staff were always asking for shoes baseball caps etc. especially when we had a few beers that was not nice. Food seemed Ok in hotel at first but soon got very boring nice restaurants in Varadero. Although rooms were ok but air conditioning very loud. I love Cuba but intend to try other hotels next time.

Myself And My Partner Have Just Returned From A Tw

Myself and my partner have just returned from a two week holiday at Breezes Varadero, and I must say that it was excellent. OK, the decor is slightly dated, but that is to be expected, and the food isn't the greatest, but it was better than I had been expecting. The rooms were kept spotless, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and they would even go out of their way to explain things when the language barrier caused problems! The beach was one of the best I've ever experienced, and I have travelled extensively! The fact that kids aren't allowed was a huge bonus. The grounds are beautiful, and it's a lovely walk into Varadero centre (if you can stand the heat).

The weather was amazing! We expected lots of rain going at the height of hurricane season, but luckily we only had 2 hours of rain in total. I would certainly recommend this resort and hotel to friends and family. Just don't go expecting the Ritz like some people seem do.

I Wouldn't Go Back To The Superclubs Breezes Varad

I wouldn't go back to the SuperClubs Breezes Varadero in Cuba; not because of the hotel, but because of the Country. People are very poor and live in very low standards, not by choice of course. The begging in Havana was a pain, but expected.

You must go to Old Havana, it was wonderful.

We Recently Honeymooned At Breezes In Cuba, And Wh

We recently honeymooned at Breezes in Cuba, and what a nightmare it turned out to be.

Service was terrible, food was below standard, the resort was awful, with chipped tiles, broken doors, mouldy pillows, and no one spoke English very well.

Some guests got drunk and cursed at the top of their lungs in the middle of the night for hours, while their security looked on leaving other guests to fend for themselves. Isn't that the job of their security staff?

We would be lucky if we got shampoo and towels in our rooms on a consistent basis.

Visited The Varadero Beach, Superclubs Breezes Var

Visited the Varadero beach, SuperClubs Breezes Varadero hotel with my partner September 2004 and thought it was excellent!! Have been to a number of other islands in the Caribbean so I am speaking from experience! The resort is huge with an excellent choice of restaurants and bars, with the food also being spot on! Nearly every night there were food safety checks as you were eating which IS very good to see!! The beach was great and the water lovely! If you get a chance and like a bit of a lively night walk out onto the beach and chuck a left and keep walking until you arrive at the locals bar!! Good laugh! Staff were great! I recommend giving a select bar member a good tip at the start of the holiday on the sly, he will then look after you for the rest of the holiday, giving you priority over anyone else, cool!! To save a bit of money we hired a moped out for the day and 5 minutes down the road is the place where you swim with the dolphins, you can just park your bike up and walk down to the beach and speak to the staff there and organise the dolphins yourself!! You get a free go on the mini catamarans where the driver takes you out on two wheels (so to speak) and lets you hang of the side) EXCELLENT!! Fishing was great!! There is small night club on the second floor of the hotel which bought some funny nights. Very cheap coffee, and it does taste lovely, bring plenty home!! DO NOT GO ON THE JET PROPELLED DINGHY, HAVE HEARD THAT IT IS NOT TOO SAFE!! Rooms were kept very clean and maid was excellent! Weather was superb for the whole two weeks!! Jet bikes were a bit below par.

My Fianc E And I Visited The Superclubs Breezes Va

My fianc e and I visited the SuperClubs Breezes Varadero last Christmas and had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly and some went out of their way to assist my fianc e, who is blind.

The food (albeit not perhaps gastronomical) was quite good, to the point that I gained four pounds.

The rooms were clean, and I enjoyed the origami towel folding (into swans) quite amusing.

I did not find the staff too eager for tips, but tips were always graciously accepted.

Superclubs Breezes Varadero In Cuba Is Not The Sam

SuperClubs Breezes Varadero in Cuba is NOT the same as a 4 star in Mexico or anywhere else. Not very clean, terrible food, aweful entertainment.

Varadero has a great beach
