“Declining”

Written on: 05/01/2017 by Geosort (6 reviews written)

Travelodge's used to be a clean, quality and inexpensive place accomodation and I would have recommended a stay to anyone. What I am finding now is the group has become random and where you stay is a lottery. Some are really nice and clean, others are quite rather poor and the hygiene leaves a lot to be desired. Smelly dovets, limesacaled toilets broken fixtures and fittings often at a premium price. The hotels are visibly lacking investment and are rather grubby. The staff are very friendly… Read Full Review

“intresting stay”

Written on: 06/07/2015

stayed at the battersea travelodge last year in 2014 and the bed had 3 wheels so had to put coat hangers underneath and the tv had only 2 stations. ended up going to a rough pub in the area just to get some sanity, sorry for the staff there, staying there again not through choice so hope better ( watch this space!)… Read Full Review

“Travelodge Room Cancellation Insurance”

Written on: 25/03/2014

WARNING Before purchasing Travelodge 'Room Cancellation Insurance' be sure to read through the insurance policy terms and conditions. I assumed that I could cancel for any reasonable cancellation situation but I was wrong. I booked the room as I was attending an aunt's party. Unfortunately she passed away before the party so I wanted to cancel the room. Atlas Insurance PCC Limited, who administer Travelodge's insurance, do not consider this to be one of the insured risks and they refused… Read Full Review

“Clean, comfy bed but very cold room”

Written on: 25/01/2014 by joea (1 review written)

Room was good, clean and tidy with a very comfy bed. But...It was cold come evening and the small useless heater did nothing to keep the cold at bay, the draughts through the sides of the windows were awful and they weren't even opening ones!Seals must have gone. My daughter had to move her bed and come closer to us.we all wore cardigans to bed and there were no blankets in the room either. Too cold for Jan stay!Would have been fine if not for this!… Read Full Review

“Covent Garden”

Written on: 10/08/2013

We stayed at the Covent Garden Travelodge for two nights in a room designated for handicap people. My husband has reduced mobility but can walk a few steps. Overall the room was spacious on the 12 floor the only down side was no air conditioning so we had to have the window open to get some air ventilation . The down side to this was noise all night. The bathroom only had a bath no seperate shower. My husband had to get into a high sided bath if he wanted to take a shower and the bath would… Read Full Review

“A38 Northbound near Burton on Trent”

Written on: 05/10/2012 by dougm1918 (2 reviews written)

Teamed with Little Chef which had closed some months previously so whole area had a depressing atmosphere. Bed and linen OK, and clean. But some light fittings without bulbs and bits of decor broken gave the impression that TRAVELODGE were cutting down on maintenance bfore surrendering the lease and closing the place. Quite a small operation and I felt sorry for staff who were most helpful, within the limitations posed by a tired operation… Read Full Review

“Fortwilliam newly opened family room”

Written on: 02/10/2012 by siannunn (2 reviews written)

We stayed at the Fortwilliam Travel lodge the day after it opened on the 29/09/2012. The parking area was not finished and we had to park a fair distance from the hotel and carry our luggage. The room was clean as everything was pretty much brand new. The staff were lovely and friendly. Tv in the room seemed to not work properly but channels were availble. All in all great stay and had a quiet restful sleep. Bed was comfy enough and the pull out childs bed was great. We would definately come… Read Full Review

“Travelodge Barrie Ontario”

Written on: 29/07/2012

We booked at the Barrie Travelodge on July 28 3012. The room was large, clean and the Hotel was maintained well. That is where the good points ended. We were in a room that reiked of fresh cigarette and marijuana smoke as the party that was occurring in several rooms around us felt free to partake without regard to anyone else. When we contacte the front desk at 11pm, the clerk asked my wife what she expected the hotel to do as smoking was permitted in some rooms. When we called back at near… Read Full Review

“good bang for the buck”

Written on: 26/06/2012

Staying at the Travelodge in Laguna Beach, CA. Good location. Reasonably priced. Barely adequate rooms. Interiors need updating in every way. We are staying in room 109 and you have to be a contortionist to flush the toilet. Don't know why the owner won't fix this problem. Don't know if all the rooms were designed with the toilet flush handle almost completely inaccessible… Read Full Review

“Electrics....”

Written on: 02/04/2012

When I first walked into the room I thought; simple but homely and comfortable. I got bored as there was nothing to watch on tv and some channels didn't work, also the channels are in a random order and there weren't many of them. I came here for leisure so this is probably why I had a slightly higher expectation of the tv than the average person. I couldn't even play a dvd or plug my own things into it such as wdtv or hardrive. I got peckish at around midnight and the shops were all… Read Full Review

“More than one day stay with Travelodge Hotel.”

Written on: 14/02/2012 by ISimmons (1 review written)

We stayed at the Wallasey New Brighton Travelodge on Feb 11 & 12th February 2012. First thing to ask for, was a toilet role, the room was very poor on heating, just a small wall mounted electric heater. The tea & coffee making facility was poor. Two tea bags, 3 coffees & 4 milk, also sugar. And these were not topped up for the second day we stayed. Also room was not cleaned after the first day… Read Full Review

The hotel was in a good position walk to town. My only gripe is the bathroom could been more cleaner, the hotel needs modernised. We had a family room which was a good size. Bedding was clean and staff helpful.
Overall you get what you pay for basic hotel with the amenities you need. would book this hotel again… Read Full Review

Here we are in a deep recession where everyone is skint and what do Travelodge do,they revamp the website and crank prices much higher.Forget their price bragging claims of rooms from £19.Try and find one.We have had some great cheap stays over the past few years but we wont be rushing to book with these silly prices. Some rooms are over £100 for one nights stay with NO food. They know that many people will be staying in Britain this year and have cranked the prices up to get maximum profit… Read Full Review

disappointed no toiletries at all - not even bar of soap. No remote for the TV and had to ask for the bedding for second bed.
Central location - ideal for our visit to hte NIA - only 5-10 minutes .If you stay on a Sunday then parking is free outside hotel until 8am Monday morning .

Our family stayed here for part of our Black Hills vacation, we absolutly loved it! The front desk staff was great! Very friendly and helpful. You can see Mt. Rushmore from the outside balcony!
