“unproffesional”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Madelyne on 21/02/2022

They came to my mother who is a hospice patient. They sold her 3000$ worth of their merchandise and put the order under my name because i had an account with them from a filter i bought years ago. Now i have asked them to pick the merchandise up and they have not picked up or answered any of my calls as i will not be paying for this nor did i give them permission to run my credit. I need help in navigating this situation because they are not answering our calls.

“Faulty slow cookware product and terrible customer...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by ShannonMolloy on 30/08/2021

Bought a slow cookware in August 2020. Stopped working in October. The heating component leaked a rusty liquid and no longer heated. Contacted customer support. They asked for photos of the leaks. I complied and sent them. Qa shortly thereafter told they would replace the item. Then delayed you Feb 2021. Nothing happened. Contacted again. They told me “out of stock” but a new one would be with me by… July. Came back from vacation end of August. Nothing there. Contacted them again: “ out of stock” up to … October. Over a year to replace a faulty product? What else to say? I just gave up.

“DO NOT ORDER FROM PRESTIGE IE SAUCEPANS - DISGUSTING...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Paigeh1972 on 15/02/2021

I ordered some saucepans but realised they didn't have a copper base which I preferred so cancelled order immediately. I tried calling to cancel, emailed twice and received a reference number stating the cancellation had been received. Prestige still sent out the item which I refused. I rang again, couldn't get through so left a voice message for a return call to receive no response. I then called again and sat on hold for 20mins to eventually speak to someone who didn't care at all or understand English. To be told I couldn't get a refund for 28 days until I returned the item.... I explained several times that I did not have the item and which time the person kept frustratingly quoting the terms etc at which point I ended the call. Ps. I also asked for the complaints dept and was told they didn't have one!! Disgusting service. If any advise i can give - Do not order from the company.

“54 year old pan”

★★★★★

written by Reginald1896 on 03/10/2018

We received a set of pans as a wedding gift in 1964 and the large pan is still in use, albeit a bit scratched. So that says a lot for the quality.

“Stainless steel pan set ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by 123ryn on 11/04/2018

My wife went to dunelm and bought a new set of stainless steel pans, because i have throat cancer.we decided to have them as we had a set for over 30 years with no problems. We now have had two sets of prestige pans sets now with them all going wrong. Its the pans all start to pit when thay are washed. We went back and decided to buy another set but this was myer pans at another £62.00. As we where not confident of another set of prestige pans. We did ring customers service and thay did not bother as thay were not over 12 months old. Now we have used the much more expensive pans of myer pans but the same has happend to them. We feel very let down by the service we have had by prestige/myer. The pans are not the same quality as we first bought some 30 years ago and most of all the customer service is the same. The pans are pitted in side the bottom and look like thay have been shot with a shot gun.

“Worst brand & service”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Claire382 on 09/11/2017

I bought a glass gas stove from prestige, which costed me 5400/-. Just for using to boil 1/2 ltr milk, cook rice for last 3 years and Glass has been broken without any pressure and hit. So opted for service, they registered complaint, assigned to service center and service center person called me after 10 days of complaint logging and multiple escalations. He said they charge 3400 for Glass replacement and no warranty on this. This is how prestige provide service to customers.

“Prestige pans frying pan”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Brennan1980 on 02/10/2015

Not a good quality frying pan. The non stick coating came off quite quickly.... This I believe to be poisenouse. Eventually the metal insert bottom of the pan became loose and the frying pan leaked. Customer service were not friendly although they did replace the pan but wanted me to return my pan to them at my own cost. They also said this was a common problem with their pans.

“Non stick coating came off wok after first use.”

★☆☆☆☆

written by ReyDoyle332 on 29/07/2015

Title says it all. Bought a Prestige wok off the internet, thinking it would be good. I have had them before and I still have an ancient Prestige pressure cooker that works fine. After one use, most of the non-stick coating was gone. It's paper thin (well, even thinner than that - think toilet paper). Never buying Prestige again. Funny how all the positive reviews on here are people talking about their old Prestige pans that have lived forever. Beware - Prestige is now owned by the Chinese, so it's cheap rubbish from now on.

“Non-stick Coating Peeling Away”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Mazzababy on 26/05/2015

DO NOT BUY PRESTIGE! Not as good quality as they make them out to be. Should be much cheaper for these cheaply made saucepans. The saucepans have worn terribly with the ceramic coating PEELING away from the sides. When I emailed customer services they told me (after 6 weeks) that I have to return the worst one back to them. They want me to pay for the return postage. For the price of postage I may as well buy myself a brand new pan. It's absolutely ridiculous.

“Great to cook with, fall apart quickly!”

★★★☆☆

written by LizethHull301 on 26/12/2014

We have had an expensive set of prestige pans for just under a year, purchased as a present. First impressions were excellent. Great to cook with, non stick amazing and nicely weighted. Build quality however is terrible. Just under a year of moderate domestic use and all 3 pans coating is peeling off at the top and one of the lids has fallen apart due to the plastic where the screw screws into becoming brittle and snapping!! Not acceptable for a £100 set of 5 pans!

“MAYBE SECONDS !”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 21/11/2014

I have bought two sets of Aspire pans direct from Meyer group. The frying pan in the first set had a faulty coating with lumps and bumps all over it which to give them their due, they replaced strait away. I bought another set this month November 2014 direct from Meyer group and the stir fry pan had a piece of the non stick missing! This could not be seen until the description card was moved. I emailed a photo as requested and they want the pan back to examine it, fair enough. But They expect me to pay the postage, packaging and sending costs, with no mention that they will refund the cost, against the consumer contract regulations. Most quality companies will send you a prepaid label but not Prestige. Also they don't say what they will do when they get the pan back, such as a replacement being sent out, hopefully they won't try and dodge their obligations, but who knows! I think they send out some seconds especially when they are in their sale and hope people will accept them because they were in the sale and a lot cheaper. As for the 25 year warranty, really! only 25 years will tell on that one. Beware! you might not get the quality you pay for and a run around if you have problems.

“best yet”

written by marion.goodwin on 31/10/2013

I was just thinking how I could get in touch with Prestige to ask them how come they are still in business. I have a set of stainless steel pans my mum in law bought me in 1974 -yes 1974 and they are like new. This even though they are used daily having catered for three children and countless entertaining events. I was shocked to see some reviews where users are having problems. My mum in law -very special lady, bought me them as she was fed up of watching me burn things in the pans I had. This didn't stop me burning things but the pans cleaned up like new!! I am so sorry other users have not enjoyed a similar experience. I can't make up my mind who to leave them to in my will.

“Prestige Copper bottom saucepans”

★★★★★

written by on 16/07/2011

I have had my set of saucepans for 25 years....have added a milk saucepan & frying pan to complete the set. They were rather expensive then, but well worth every penny. Have had no problems & they have been used nearly every day. The handles have also held up well. I never want any other saucepans as these are my old friends & have many years more use left in them Thank you Prestige.....for once in life...a bargain for my money !!

“We have had a set of Prestige copper-bottom saucepans...”

★★★★★

written by on 25/03/2011

We have had a set of Prestige copper-bottom saucepans for 23 years, bought as a wedding present, plus we bought the frying pan and an extra saucepan for what seemed a huge amount of money. After about 15 years we replaced the handles and they continued to be used everyday, then by our teenagers who used and abused them, even setting fire to them a few times! The handles are now failing again but the pans are still the best thing we ever had, so we searched for a suitable replacement. We have just bought a set of Raymond Bland by Anolon pans, stainless steel with a part-copper base, very heavy. So far they are proving to be a worthy second generation. And who are they made by? Meyer, who bought out Prestige!

“Had to comment as I too have had a set of Prestige...”

★★★★★

written by on 23/02/2011

Had to comment as I too have had a set of Prestige copper bottom saucepans (4) a chip pan and a frying pan for 40 years this month (wedding presents + rest brought with wedding present cash). Were they expensive; you bet they were, especially to a young couple just starting married life but they have been worth every penny! Although we have a dishwasher now we have always washed them by hand and I think that is why the handles and knobs have lasted so long. However, I have recently been in touch with Meyer Prestige Limited to try and obtain replacement knobs, as these seem to be the main problem with mine, but I am not holding by breath due to their age. Am currently awaiting information from them by post. If no luck will be back to see if anyone out there has any suggestions.

I too would be interested in the results for info on replacing lid handles. I bought my Prestige copper clad pans when I got married in 1967 and have always used them but the lid handles urgently need replacing.

How long is a 'lifetime guarantee'? I bought 3 pans + milk and frying pan approx. 32 years ago. They have given sterling service but handles are gone or going now but the pans themselves are still very good. Can they be rehandled?

Lots of elderly cooks use their upper grill/oven to avoid bending to their lower, but larger, oven. Do Prestige make a lidded roasting tin, not more than 5 inches high, including the lid handle? Not too heavy please for ladies of this age group. Many thanks

The handle has come away from my frying pan, it seems the screw is at fault. What should I do?
