I think the Gibson Explorer is the best guitar in the world, first to the Flying V, first to Ibanez, first to everything. It got great tonal and distortion options, it's cheaper than most professional guitars and it looks awesome, who wouldn't want to love a guitar that looks as if it were created on the moon?

its an explorer, not a jazz sounding guitar, rock, blues, metal, not many guitar player play em, but most have one, Van Halen to the edge, Jacobs, ZZtop Chaep Trick, Iron Maiden, and so on. Other companys just copy this guitar, like the Dime, Ibanez, Dean, Washburn, Esp, Gibson is the real deal. Made in the usa. I bought mine at gituar center right off the wall, put on a fresh set of 10, no major set up required, a little truss rod and bridge heigh for my preference. A little darker sounding then my Les Paul standard, lots of sustain, harmonics. I would get another if taken from me.

“This guitar honestly can perform on so many different...”

This guitar honestly can perform on so many different levels and playing styled that it's stupid. The pickups are so hot that they compete with EMG actives, but sound way better due to them being passive. The body, as extravagant as it may seem, does have a method to its design. You can play it sitting with great comfort as well as standing with a strap. In both positions you will notice that the guitar is extremely balanced, unlike the ever so popular, and body heavy, Les Paul, or the neck heavy SG. Over all the guitar looks great, plays great, and sounds great.

The Gibson Explorer has everything from famous and exciting design to great playability and sound!

I'm glad to be able to give comments on Gibson and Epiphone Explorers, because my brother uses a Gibson Explorer Gothic and I own an Epiphone in pitch black with Floyd Rose Tremolo. Both guitars are really something that can make your pulse go up.

As you can read in my review of the Epiphone Explorer I must say that there are only small differences. Just compare for yourself and think of the value for money.
