What I Can Tell About Seal Of Evil ? It Has 2d Gra
What I can tell about Seal of Evil ? It has 2D graphics and, as it was said, "with some 3D improvements", but I was unable to detect what kind of improvements these are. The graphics are as good as 2D graphic could be, it is not better (and not worse) than you can see in Baldurs Gate II. There seem to be some 3d lights to be used, but it does not help much. In other words, the graphic looks somehow outdated, but it seems to me it's quality would satisfy most of RPG fans.
AI is one of the strongest point of the game. One click on the enemy target is enough - your characters do the rest. They even will engage combat if enemy comes close range.
Interface is a good point too. It is intuitive and well designed.
The story takes place in the Ancient China. Main character is a daughter chieftan of some tribe , that is threatened by another tribe. Story is mostly non-linear. You do not create characters at the beginning of the game, you simply get premade characters, but, as they advance, you can allocate stats points as you wish. There are 5 characteristics: metal, water, fire, wood an earth. Earth characteristic has its associated stats. For example: water is linked with mana, when you advance water, you get more mana.
Generally, Seal of Evil is an average game. Nothing great, but still worth it to play. What I personally miss in this game is freedom. In this aspect this game is worse than Diablo, or Dungeon seage. You can not go to another location, If you are not told to do so. It means that you act like a robot: get order - fulfil order. Not even a bit of freedom. That is why I do not recommend this game to classic RPG fans. You can not roam, explore or adventure in this game, you only do what you are told. On the other hand, Diablo or Dungeon Siege funs may enjoy Seal of the Evil.
Bottomline: Seal of the Evil is an average game.
