I Ordered An Upgrade To My Orange Phone From Digit

I ordered an upgrade to my Orange phone from Digitalmobile.co.uk. The form you have to fill in, although seemingly secure, has some rather questionable components. These include a section for direct debit which I had to fill in in order to progress to the next page - despite the fact I wasn't paying by direct debit. I rang the customer service line and was told to "stick any numbers/ letters I liked" into the box.

The website says that any phone you order will be dispatched the next working day, but if it is out of stock then they will contact you within 2 working days to give you a likely delivery date.

After 3 working days I phoned them. The lady I spoke to said her colleague had been trying to contact me. I had given them my address, e-mail, landline and mobile numbers - perhaps they had decided to use carrier pigeon instead.

I was also told the item was out of stock, but should be in the following week and they would call me. 9 days later, having heard nothing, I rang again and was told that a supervisor would call back - after 2 hours no one had called, so I phoned back and spoke to the same lady again. This time she was ready with an excuse... and it sounded just that.

My phone was out of stock, they were ringing the supplier in 30 minutes to get an idea of progress and would let me know. I asked if they could let me know when they had spoken to the supplier. She said she could only inform me by e-mail and it would be the following morning. No e-mail arrived the following day.

I e-mailed them instead cancelling my contract and asking them to confirm they had refunded me... I am still waiting.

Don't be fooled by the decent prices and seemingly glowing reviews on their website. The customer service has been atrocious.

When I Went To Order My Nokia 7250, I Was Looking

When i went to order my Nokia 7250, i was looking forward to that fone for a long time. I order it on the there site, within 15 min i had a call from one of there coustomer Service people to confirm my order.They said it would be sent out today, i should have it by the next day.

They sent me the Royal Mail No. if i did have any problem about delivery i could go on royal mail site and see where my packages is, this was something new to me. But i would say good service and price.

Well, I Thought I Would Order Myself A Nokia 7210

Well, I thought I would order myself a Nokia 7210 on a Talk 200 Orange Plan.

I did that on the 25/3. It should have arrived on the 27/3...it never did.

So I tried to ring them...and email them...and request call back via their webpage. And I didn't give up.

Until I spoke to Riemon on the 7/3! He said he'll check the whole thing out for me and ring me. He never did.

I managed to get through to them on the 10/3 again. That was when they told me that I didn't receive my order cause they are actually out of stock. Delivery is expected on the 12/3 and I'll have my mobile on the 13/3. Needless to say that it never arrived.

So I rang again on the 13/3. Delivery is expected between the 14th and 17th....

Well, it's the 27th today. A month and two days I have been waiting.

I waited three days for the manager to ring me back...when he did he had 10 excuses why they never answer the phone or reply to the 25! emails I wrote in one day.

He promised me though that he'll stay in touch and let me know about the progress. I could have cancelled my order there and then and I was so tempted..but I didn't cause I wanted to make a point.

Well, never heard from Tony again...and I will cancel my stupid order and order it from Carphonewarehouse...

I would be very very interested to find out if anybody got similar experience with digitalmobile.
