The Godfather Trilogy

I just reviewed Marlon Brando in Godfather. He is the best God father ever! I read the books and, unlike other movie & book combination, I can not decide which is best. In my humble opinion, both are worth it!

It is mandatory for everybody to watch the movies and read at least one of the books; if you read the first, you will go for sure for the next ones!

Mario Puzo writes in an easy and enjoyable way, the way that makes it difficult to want to put the book down because you always want to know what will happen in the next chapter. The narration does not follow directly chronologically (anyone who has seen the films would expect so), with time or other events that transpired in the past and explain current situations. That does not make it on any hard time reading and understanding of the plot. The plot was very well created, placing the reader immersed in the world, apart from ordinary society, led by the great and mighty Dons. It is interesting to observe how the members of this world reject the impositions placed by society and prefer to live in a world with rules created by them, based on principles of honor and silence, a fairer world, howthey see, than society governed by rulers chosen democracy, but it can be somewhat cruel.

This edition is good. Just realized one or two sentences a little incoherent, like a translation a bit relaxed. Anyway, it was quite satisfactory purchase and read this book.

To my mind,this is the greatest film I've ever seen. This film tells you about the Italian mafia, but it's not only about criminals,you can get a lot of different feelings from this film. There's love, killing, relationships, gansters and others. The atmosphere and music are amazing. The plot is very interesting with unthinkable twists. Highly recommended!

one of the geratest stories ever told!! love the films and the book too. very good acting, as well, and the casting was prefect, exactly like i imagined when reading the book! for those who have missed out on the godfather movies, you haven't lived! :)

The Godfather Trilogy is simply 3 great films in one great boxset. This review will gain no points for originality I'm afraid. The Brando inspired part One is absolutely brilliant, and the epic that is the Godfather Part 2 will have you captivated. Part Three is the 'weakest link' in this trilogy, but is still a million times better than a lot of other gangster movies. If you haven't yet seen these films, then expand your film education and get watching!!!
