I'd leave 0 stars if I could!!! I bought a set of draws a few weeks ago now theough click and collect. When I got home and tried to assemble the draws they have been built incorrectly, the screws didn't line up with the holes. The following day I drove back to the store to advise what happened but due to covid they cannot accept returns so they gave me the number to call for customer service. I've had a terrible experience trying to swap a mattress under the 100 night trial. Spend hours on hold, told different things by each member of staff, incorrect mattress delivered. I was offered a refund and then told the mattress would need to be collected first, leaving me with no mattress or the money to buy a new one. Appalling. Just got the argos Christmas catalogue. You find an item you wish to purchase in the catalogue when you go online to place the order it is more than the catalogue price. The offer is from 06/10/2020 until 24/12/2020 you contact them about this and are told the price went up the night before and to read the small print. Ordered a washing machine. 10 day wait for delivery date. 7am-7pm time slot on the day! The delivery driver called at 6.45pm to say they wouldn’t be delivering. Received a text message to say my new delivery date would be a further 10 day wait... called customer service. no apology, and couldn’t care less when I had explained I’d taken a day off work for delivery. “Visiting an Argos store”

I have visited Argos in Bury and in Bolton in the last few days. I have been greatly impressed by their approach to safety at these difficult times. Most stores see to be forgetting about the danger of Coronavirus however Argos are extremely mindful of the situation. Staff at both Bury and Bolton were polite and respectful while ensuring that customers adhered to the safety procedures that were in place. Ordered a Nintendo switch, collected in store, and after a single DAY it no longer functioned. The likelihood is that the battery is DOA, probably the result of less than careful handling in the warehouse. They are refusing an exchange despite the fact that it is very clearly faulty hardware that i tried to exchange within 24 hours of collection (hey, isn't refusing a request like that quite literally against the law?) and the fact that I WORK FOR AN AFFILIATED COMPANY. The item was CLEARLY DAMAGED, still had water in it despite sitting in a warehouse for months, the machine does not turn on, and was visibly dirty. Selected item to purchase and went through the payment by credit card procedure. Received approval from credit card company but then the next screen get a message from Argos saying they have a problem and cannot process the payment. Their software is totally unfit for purpose. It seems that Argos have stopped collections for return items. They expect us to store items indefinitely until the end of the Covo crisis. It was only when I went onto the Argos site that I only then found out about the storage issue; they don't tell you about this when you order. This company is despicable. I bought a bed for £700 it lasted 10 months before it broke. The mattress was awful and had no support. The base collapsed and broke.Even though there is a 1 year guarantee in the small print, Argos refused to replace it. It was spotless in appearance, obviously well looked after.
